Decent looking truck. My dad had one similar but was 2wd. His had a 350. I loved that thing. That 6 banger seems to run OK. Those things are bullet proof.😁

As far as the mouse pee smell I have always gutted the interior power washed the door cards and sit the in the sun to dry and use a scrub brush and cloths washing powder and scrub the floor boards rinse and repeat

if your doing 4 coats of pain, You'll need a fair bit of paint.. Its best to just pour all the multiple cans of paint in to 1 big jug, and get your color perfect witht he black added... This way, You arent mixing each time you want to reload your spray gun.... Adding to the possible chance of 1 batch being a very slightly different shade... If all is mixed as 1..... Each cup of the spray gun, will be identical to the previous..

I stay in touch with him and he is doing very well. He mentioned some time ago that the post office was developing new systems. I see post office trucks on Sundays all the time now, I wonder if their package handling has gotten better. I hope so...We need a world with low shipping costs whenever possible.

Give the engine a hot wash then paint it up with color based on it's year. I'm nit sure if it's green or navy blue. You can goggle it.

Please give that engine a power wash, it makes it easier to work on, looks 1000 percent bettter and its basically free. That's always the first thing I do before working on the engines. Did you try the Ozone generator in the car to get rid of the mouse smell?

Very cool project truck! Color looks good to me and will be even better with all trim work. Tough call on the box but I think it's a win-win with either one. Short box would probably be better but that box outside is pretty damn cool too. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

Nice looking truck. The colour is definitely different and jumps out at you, not my favourite but who cares, it's not my truck - it will still look mighty nice when it is completed. Looks like your buddy did his homework on the conversion parts, it will be a very nice truck when done whether it is long or short box.

If you’re just trying to find a color mix, it makes more sense to use teaspoon measurements, and just brush it on some metal flashing and let it dry. When you decide you like the color, then scale up.

Back in the day leftover prior year vehicles were retitled as current year model that's why your truck is registered as a '68 the regular '68 model had little front marker lights and series badge was moved to front of fender around it, regardless it's a nice old Binder so drive and enjoy, I don't know where you live but I have a couple of those Holley carburetors like yours have
