@@realrobprice thanks mate, all depends on the venue really. I find the more shallow mark are better at distance and then they come closer in on the deeper marks. All that said my first hound in the video was about 40 yards out on small hooks 🤣

It's a lovely boat, such a nice size for two or three people

They can be one of the most fun types of fishing when it's good in my opinion. Easy, cost effective and results in some great bait and food

Yea it's quite tough at times, the channel is currently way too clear and it's putting the fish off the feed and their also feeding more on naturals like those mackerel and Sandeels

Always great to have a busy days fishing. Makes the quiet sessions worth it

It is shallower than the West but just as equally a productive mark if not more productive in my opinion. I've had far more better sessions at East than the West

@@PaulFrancis-bj6vp I've never used one or now anyone that has so couldn't really say. But to be honest it is surprising how light of a rod you can use on the rough. Just make sure you use a fairly light week link so it's easy to brake the lead off and if you're snagged and pulling for a brake, make sure you walk back with the rod pointing to the sea rather than lifting the rod up to brake off

Yes it is surprising how much crab was down there when the power station was pumping hot water out. The Bass fishing was amazing as well, nothing massive but big numbers of them

Nice mate, won't be long and they will be everywhere in big numbers. They are great fun to fish for, specially with light gear over the clean ground

Hi Mate, I normally like to get there 3 hours before low to wade across, i know the mark very well so i know exactly which direction to cross. If you haven't been there before I wouldn't advise it as it can be a bit dangerous. If you get there 2 1/2 hours before you be able to get across without wading and then you can comfortably fish two hours of the flood. I will be doing a video there at some point just purely showing it for these reasons
