Junko absolutely deserved worse but I also hate that the Hope's Peak school board was conducting this secret experiment and basically lobotomized a student "for the sake of hope". Like before Junko ever found out about this, it was fucked up. If Enoshima never rolled up to the school Hinata still would have been basically gone and Kamakura would have been...aimlessly existing? What was even the point of this experiment what was the end goal after it was a success? Like they would have just had a weird dude on the school rgounds doing what exactly????
