It’s almost a bit of a shame you light guys missed the slippery morning conditions, they were really good fun to drive in. In the dry the circuit became all the more unforgiving too if you lost momentum.

Great video as always Sam, I would love to do the club 100 but with most races being over 4 hours drive away from Manchester it's just not suitable. I really wish they did some races up north.

Nice video mate. At 5:00 minutes in, where you said you didn't know where you're losing time: your line into paddock is good but you were a little late on the throttle, and I think your line into garda is a bit tight, so you'll lose time all the way up to the cafe. To be fair it is damp so I might be wrong but that seems to be what the guys up ahead were doing, solid P2 though!!!

@@jn88 No worries man! Erm i would say as long as youre experienced somewhat (i.e. had a few hours outdoor karting) you would be fine! If youre thinking about the sprints, class 3 is more than suitable for you! Its where i started after next to no experience! There is the c100 experience championship too, which is targeted towards newer drivers if that takes your fancy! Honestly my biggest tip is to just keep it on the track. It sounds silly but youll learn what you need to know in terms of racecraft naturally as you improve. Besides if you keep out of trouble, plenty of drivers will have incidents/penalties themselves so if you just focus on your driving youll be beating people! Little tricks here and there; -Be right on the bumper of the driver infront at the start of races (almost push them along) -Try to follow the quicker drivers the best you can - If a kart infront is going for an overtake, try to follow in behind - Just have fun and dont expect to be winning races straightaway! Focus on your own driving and youll feel so much better when you have a successful race! Hope this helps a little!

0:42 At a British qualifier 20 odd years ago I had a howler in my heats and started the C final in 12th. I won it. Started the B final in 28th and got to 8th. Just 4 places from getting to the A final.

I'm moving from New Zealand to London in July and since I will basically be giving up every day driving and cars (a big thing of mine) i've been looking into any sort of accessible motorsport in the UK. This looks extremely appealing, although i'm not an experienced in Karts by any means, I feel like this would be such a good series to jump into as a Novice. My experience is basically track days, some indoor karting and a lot of sim racing (not that it counts reeeeaaally) My name's also Sam, lol.

Ah wow! Well I can’t recommend it enough! It’s experience though! There’s a few championships to choose from too! The c100 experience might be best for you! Although the sprint championship (what I’m racing in) have a class 3 which is targeted at newer/less experienced drivers! Hey Sam! Thanks for giving my stuff a watch though! I hope you enjoyed it! ☺️

Hey Sam! Like I said in the last video I think you are driving great!!! I think its just consistency now. that last corner had such little grip it was catching us all out all weekend. you can see all the mud on the track that didn't help at all! Shame about heat 3. I feel somewhat responsible as we were 3 wide going in there. but taking 2 people into the hairpin and a 3rd when he spun is great driving. I can see you are more confidant with your driving, with a bit more seat time and pace, you'll be fighting for A finals week in week out!

Like I said I do think you had nowhere to go apart from down the inside with that guy braking quite early. I only left room for one kart too really. But I was definitely entitled to that corner though! I hope so man. Every round so far I could’ve had an A Final! Last round that ghost penalty stopped me last time out! An A final and maybe even a sneaky 3rd place in class this year is the goal haha!

I think in the first heat you are being harsh on yourself! I think you drove well. Maybe a little more trust in your abilities you could have pushed on a bit more! The pen was defo a mistaken identity. Your mentality has changed to if I did that I could have been x amount of places ahead which is great!

Awesome, I've just got back into karting videos coz I'm going to M24 Chippenham for a stag do. Mate you were unlucky in that third race and you seemed to be getting faster as the track dried out. You should check out some of the old SuperGT videos of him at Buckmore in the rain, there's a definite wet line and it's very different from the dry one, which is why I think those guys pulled away from you so quickly, their tyres were a bit warmer and drier. I actually think you have the potential to be very fast in the wet as it suits a more considered and precise driving style over the chuck it in philosophy. Anyway, I look forward to the next round 😊😊
