Many years ago, I kept Patterdales & a Border x Patterdale .. what hard working terriers they we're ... This was a fantastic tribute to such dogs .

Does anyone know the name of the interviewer? What is that accent.. I could easily listen to her read a newspaper out loud for hours... the accent a bit hard to figure as I live in Texas. I've watched every one of his shows.. he was a remarkable man in every way. How many of us would have loved to have an Uncle or Grandad half as amazing.
@lanyard2202Ай бұрын
The presenter is Susan Rae. Her accent is Scottish - Dundee. And yes, I couldn't agree more, I think most of us would have appreciated an older relative like Jack 😁 All the best.

@@lanyard2202 Thank you so much for prompt reply. I love Scottish and maybe because Dad always said our name of Griffin was Scottish, Dutch and Irish. It always sounds so wonderful to me and interesting, pronounced words lingering in my ear much like a good Burns poem. I love to hear James Galway speak. Peace out from Texas Panhandle.

This is in no way a criticism of Phil or anyone else, more an observation. I thought chocolate was poisonous to dogs, unless it's their own variety, and I wouldn't expect Phil to eat that !

Know what you mean. He does refer to this in the film. Having read his books it was an occasional treat for the dog. A lifetime as a first rate stockman as PD was I'd say he probably knew what he was doing 👍

A really good film, I enjoyed that. Haven't had dogs for a few years after my last dog, a border had a few last difficult years before I had to put him down. Took the heart out of it. I do miss having dogs, I had an excellent bedlington/whippet/collie X I bought of a bloke in Six Hills, he must be long gone, best dog I ever had.

It sounds like a programme that shouldnt work in theory, but it certainly does. Who wouldn't love to spend the day with Jack? The perfect dinner party guest. Only the British could come up with this type of show. ...amd nake it an absolute success.

I met David Brian plummer in approximately 1998.i live in Southport, Merseyside. I bred my bullmastif bitch "Jessy" .to a crufts champion stud.she had 9 puppies, 6 survived the cesarean section birth,I advertised the puppies for sale in exchange and mart. Brian plummer contacted me and came to view the puppies. He was so impressed with the pups and the mother, he bought 2 pups. Brother and sister. He paid me the full asking price of £600 per pup.He was a very knowledgeable and impressive man and I was very impressed with the way he lived his life.
