Do you still own it? Im very interested in a 2007 near me, original owner, 100k kilometers. I'm just worried about sourcing parts when I need to replace something. It is after all 17 years old.

So how did the story end? Did you manage to fix the seat and the paint? The clock? Or did you sell it?

Indicators on the right would be something they've actively done - I'd expect them on the left in a US car. A lot of RHD markets tend to have indicators on the right - eg. Japan, Australia. This wasn't sold in Australia - I'm curious which other RHD markets it ended up in.

The X350 XJ6 is a very good car. I own a 3.0 sport, built in 2003. Pacific blue. These are excellent second \ weekend cars. They still turn heads, and are a pleasure to drive. They are very comfortable, and are not as unreliable or costly as people think. They are cheap to insure, since they are an older car. Drive one if you get the chance. You might be surprised..

Nice review. Is the build quality so different between xj 2001 and the following version (he alluminium chassis version)? I prefer the 2001 style, but your review is making me question the final choice.

Road tax is a killer on this, especially when added to the 22mpg. £695 per year over 5 years of ownership is £3500. Compare this to your average executive diesel saloon which would be a grand over the same period. £2200 of fuel per year for the Legend at 10k a year compared to £1300 for a 40mpg car and that's another £4500 over 5 years in fuel. So thats another £8k in fuel and road tax over 5 years of ownership, is it really worth paying that much extra? I don't think so, give me an audi, vw or bmw exec car over this for that reason only. You'd pay that extra outlay for something really, really special.

Keep your hands on the steering wheel you fool. Your not in control of the car when both of your hands are not on the steering wheel, this video can be used as evidence against you.

I used to have a V6 350. Underpowered in my opinion. You have to rev it, torque numbers are obviously not good enough. On the highway, it would almost always shift two speeds down to accelerate well. While the V8 did not. But now I have a Super V8 (XJR), by far the best choice, I should've went with it from the start, without persuading myself the V6 "is powerful enough".

I owned one. Let down by poor materials. Peeling chrome and dashboard bubbles never appeared on the old version. water based paint ment a few rust bubbles appeared too. Shame as everything else felt solid.

The 'Jaaaaaags' of the new Millennia (excluding the X-Type) were way better. Ford added build quality, extra power and must important of ALL - CASH FOR PROPER ENGINE DEVELOPEMENT, so that the Jaguar engineers had an even playing field. NB - The board of, Jaguar had the chance to turn the V6 Lincoln Town Car engine from a single cam per bank to a twin cam per bank engine and REALLY go to town on it and hone it for the European Market with other mods. Ford promised them £250m just for engine development (obviously Ford would also benefit from this engine development for their American Market) but ALAS, the board in Britain lossed their bottle at the last minute and let the Jaguar engineers down. Can you imagine the kind of of power and torque the 3.0/4.0/5.0 litre V6/V8 engines would have turned out in just naturally aspirated form let alone with Turbo/Superchargers with the kind of knowledge that European engineers have of extracting power from medium/large engines?. The Germans would have been quaking in their boots. PS - I have a 3 litre XF petrol and it's a beautiful car from ANY angle and always gets admiring looks. I also have a 1975 4.2C (between the E-Type and XJS) and that is a fantastic car - NOW THAT REALLY GETS ADMIRING GLANCES WHEN I DRIVE IT IN THE SUMMER. The new millennia XJ/XF/XK/F-Type will ALL go down as 'Automotice Art' in the years to come. People will utter the phrase - 'Jaaaaaaaaaaag' when they see them in the museums and automotive collections - AND RIGHTLY SO!!.

Mine was a delight to drive, but came up with amazingly varied electronic problems, which sometimes seemed to cure themselves, but mostly required a specialist. After many thousands in repairs, some problem required the front passenger seat removed to access electronics in the floor, and , lo and behold, two inches of water!! The car may have been in a flood, but more likely is that the drains in front of the windscreen had backed up and overflowed into the foot well. Large hoppers catch the water, but they lead to pencil thin tubes which are easily blocked. A mass of modules and wiring in this wet floor were corroding and giving intermittent faults . The wiring looms were themselves corroding. I had to scrap this beautiful car!

It also does not let you lock the keys inside, brilliant. Well, as long as the fob battery is good. And again, the dash will tell you when your keyfob battery is low.

It’s an awful shame these didn’t come with an automatic transmission - probably the only reason you can still find them to buy on the second hand market - and with low mileages too! It’s a typical ME car, and the 1.2 TCe is ULEZ compliant too! No auto transmission, otherwise I’d buy one in a heartbeat…!!! ❤
