Do you happen to remember which size domino cutterhead you used to make the mortises and can you add some more detail on how you did them? I bought the WWG plans but would like to use my Domino to make the mortises

BLOODY EXCELLENT! If I could give you one tip.. would have maybe been quicker to just used carbon paper and drawn onto the wood rather than making a template. Loved the epoxy resin effect you done. FANTASTIC

What species wood were you using? (Maple...?) I'd love to see a follow-up to this video now two years on dealing with questions like what you may have done differently, and mods you have made or plan to make, and most importantly, projects that you have made on this bench that are easier now or would have been impossible earlier--you know, bench-in-action stuff.

Great work! I wonder if the fence on your table saw might be out of parallel a little. Just because it sounded like it was getting bogged down. Or maybe it’s just like that idk. Thank you for the videos. Please keep up the good work.

Love the Zebrano draw fronts. I am based just up the road a bit in Conwy. Where did you source your wood from? Thanks for a great video.
@DeerRiverCraftsman
@DeerRiverCraftsman 9 ай бұрын
Many thanks! The Zebrano I got at an auction when a cabinet shop was closing down, the Ash is from my woodland (I stock boules/slabs of Oak, Ash & Beech for sale but just run out of Ash!) - for Oak & Ash though MKM at Llan Junction will order stuff in for you, and for exotics or top premium stuff I use Sykes Timber in Warwickshire - great family business who have been in the timber trade since 1800s! If you need a small amount of Zebrano I have plenty left & can sell you a piece for a project - get in touch via my website www.deerrivercraftsman.com - thanks again!

I have always thought that the American bed size "King size" is around 120 cm - 150 cm beds until I found on Google that size is 160 cm which is considered the smaller version of the two double bed sizes (180 cm is the larger version) which available here in Sweden.

Well, it seems funny to put such a fantastic investment in terms of modern machinery just to make a bench with a woodworker's crochet for a holding device.
@DeerRiverCraftsman
@DeerRiverCraftsman 10 ай бұрын
haha, well thankfully all my machinery is valuable for the furniture work I do as well as making this bench ;-) but do I love the crotchet for door work & live edge bark removal with a draw knife, among many things which modern benches don't really have a great alternative for! :-) thanks for checking in!
