I know that Night-Terror isn’t on this ranking. Since he is Nightmare who unlocked the full power of Soul Edge. For me I had him on S-rank. Because him looking so monstrous, all red, him having wings incase he gets knocked out of the ring, and him having Soul Edge at it’s highest does make a perfect final battle.

Chrispin Freeman is still the best voice for Siegfried, even almost 20 years today. I still wish he stay for the next 3 games, while having Shadow’s voice as Nightmare, just to make the Azure Knight of Darkness sound so demonic & frightening.

I think I still have the first game but I definitely did enjoy my time with it even with the goofy a** story. The character designs from the first game are still pretty solid all things considered and while it is sad that the series never reach the same heights as say dead or alive or Senran kagura and only had two games, I would think it's for the best now considering that if we did get a new game in the series then it would either be just ignored or it would have been censored heavily. But at the very least the games do hold up as pretty good wrestling games even with a good amount of cheesecake.

I'm with you and agreeing that Sigfreid in terms of his english voice I definitely preferred him being voiced by Chrispin freeman in this game. Don't get me wrong sonic is cool and shadow is cool but they don't scream Sigfreid to me. As for the endings I think you did a good job in ranking each of them in a Fair way and they do definitely progress the characters in specific ways depending on the endings in the later tiers though it is a shame that most of these do get completely ignored when we get to 4 and everyone just kind of become stupid. But Hey at least Kilik and Xianhua got together in 3 WAY earlier in a ending then Jin and Xioyau where we had to wait YEARS until 8 dropped so that is still good.

Nightmare's ending.. It makes me wish if he was the one who turned into Night Terror instead of Zasalamel because it makes more sense and it would give Nightmare such epic moment instead of Zasalamel always taking the spotlights, Olcadan's ending makes him look good a Master who teach others his techniques and make them stronger instead of being selfish who care only about his own strength, I love he can also sell Soul Edge casually as if it's not big deal to him.. Lol Siegfried's ending is the very definition of redemption and how to redeem a character

I do still wish we had some kind of port of the arcade version. I love the jaggy "beefed up PS1" look of it. Same with how the AC version of Tekken Tag was just 3 with more characters, but got a glow up when ported to console. Not that it doesn't look great, but some of the facial animations are kinda wonky since they were never supposed to be there.

Wow, I’m glad you uploaded this because I had no idea a Genesis SoulEdge bootleg didn’t even exist, that’s super interesting! It’s clear the controls are PAINFUL and the music and announcer are ripped off. All things considered I’m surprised the in game sprites look as good as they do!
