Go buy a cheap polisher and some mild cutting pads you won't have to do as many passes. Also you won't use so much compound and polish

I want to do the same but one of my mechanics feels the car will be too loud without it, and I may get pulled over. Do you have any input on that?

Hello, when disassembling and reassembling everything needs a scanner or there is no need for a scanner meter for this to be normal, sorry, I hope you answer me.

No scanner is required the only thing a scanner would be needed is to clear the check engine light if you have it lit up.

Lovely car, I have owned around 10-15 of these i miss the 4th gen. Some Tips for you Spray pad with misty water before applying anything. Dont do it in sunlight, it dries fast and burns into the paint. Use a clay bar with continous lubrication of the area with water and soap while using up and down and side to side claying, always do this before you begin polishing and continue it until its as smooth as a babies bottom. Then.. Do a 3 stage process. Heavy compound first, using a polishing setting of 1.5-2.5 speed (polishing tool) lower the speed, slower the movement vice versa. Medium/lightweight compound setting 2 speed. Cream cut polish with the current buffing machine you have and seal it all off with a wax which can be done by hand or with the machine you have. Ensure the pads are clean you are using. This is an experienced detailer for almost 20 years

unfortunately if your paint is really really oxidized these products only cover the oxidation. You can test this by washing the spot you polished with some of your car wash soap and a sponge this will take away the polishing oils that make it look like its new. If it looks dull after you wash it you did not do anything to the paint other than cover the problem with the polishing oils. You will have to cut through the paint until you reach the still good paint. I had to cut through the paint on my car until i reached the still good paint ( i used turtle wax polishing compound) as I can't see myself polishing the paint after every 2 car washes lol. You could put clear coat but the paint is still deteriorated how long can you save it depends on the condition. without the new clear coat the paint will just keep oxidizing faster. you did do a good job for being the first time. It looks like your car did not have much paint left based on the primer being seen so easily so i would not cut through it more aggressive. SO i see you painted the car in one of your other videos and yea that was the best choice lol

Man, I've been having the same sputtering then dying on my 2002 Tundra 4.7 for the past few months. I've changed 4 of the coils, the MAF, the fuel filter and cleaned the throttle body and still having problems. Found a new mechanic who investigated and said I was having issues with a proper vacuum seal and fixed that. It was good for a week and now doing the same thing. He said there is another part that he's waiting for in my air intake that's on back order but I'm just hoping that will actually fix the problem. Anybody on here have additional suggestions, I'm open to them.

Slower and smoother don’t rush and also don’t apply to much pressure. I use to do this working for Toyota at a detail company learned so much. And it’s best if you clay the car with a. Good. Wash. Then use that compound then use a polish to seal

Oh man I'm sorry about your misfortune bro. But man I'm sure there some at salvage yards for cheap that are still in good condition. Just make sure the vent tubes are routed correctly when you put a new axle in there. I work at a ford shop a guy took his f150 accross a river but the vent tubes were not routed correctly so water got into the diff and turned that fluid into chocolate milk

Nice work dude. Get bye with A lil help from the friends. 🤟 I did similar thing after spark plugs and misfire, had ti change 1 ignition coil and was purring after that. 2002 Toyota Tundra 4.7 Rwd. Also i liked your videi of the Throttle body, i just did that on mine, even got that same gasket, but i struggled w8th that damn hose , water hose or a coolant bypass, in chilton manual it said to clip it off on the left and pull hose off on the right, like the one lower then you showed would hsve been the one. I couldn't get my hand in the with needle nose enough to grab it and was just mental. Seeing ehat you did, i probably could have/well definitely could have just removed it and done it that way to get gasket and clean from back. Plus removing the throttle cable you did, anyhow, good stuff, you seem like a chill dude. Go Tundra, drive it like you stole it🤟

If this car was clear coat the clear coat would be flaking off, but the dull white chalky appearance tells me this is a single stage paint. Just my opinion, but you need a more powerful tool, a true DA buffer. Most likely that white chalky look is going to return unless this is properly done and maintained.

So before installing I would put like a clear tint film if you are going to be driving on the interstate or highway .. I'm on my second set I learned that the lens break easy if a rock hits them at those type of speeds.
