I always describe the Philippines as late 1960s - 1970s America due to the economy but also because of the attitudes that even young people posses. Us Filipinos are so used to this that we don't even know the choices we get to have in our lives... We as a society have been taught it's normal for men to get the upper hand while "wOmEn dO aLl tHe HoUsEwOrk-!!!"
