i plan to do... idk, something kinda weird, i have to check legality first, but in a few years i could most likely have a fairly significant amount of excess fruits of various types, considering some kinda open take box to leave few pounds of fruit in every morning for school kids\local homeless or disadvantaged, to passby and pick up something tasty and healthy, i plan on both basic stuff and exotic fruits(because i can grow those in California) from berries of various types to oranges, tangerine, sugar apple, wampi, lychee, longan, mango,Dragon fruit etc. if it's legal it'll happen within 5 years most likely. obviously I'll mainly be selling fruits and other things, but i wanna do something for the area, especially because i grew up there and i know I'd have loved it if someone did literally anything for us as kids on the walk to the bus, having fresh tasty fruit would be the best, especially if free and good variety. but i might have to work directly with schools idk yet,I'll find out when it's time to do it, but i hope i can manage it and make my dumpy rural community a bit better with fresh fruit for youth and starving folks.

50:15. Maynard is my grandfather. I was 16 when this fight happened in 1990, and he was 60. I was standing not 10 feet away when all this took place. The guy my grandfather punched was a pain, to say the least. He and his organization reportedly put sand and sugar in loggers skidders, spiked trees, and at this event, he and about 20 other people came from another state to block a road he had no business or authority to block. An hour or so after the fight, my grandfather said he was upset that he was 60 and said had he been the same age as the other guy, the guy wouldn't have gotten up without the aid of an ambulance. He also went to the 20 other earthfirsters, car by car, all from out of state, and said don't come back. They did all leave and we watched them drive away. These people were not peaceful, and while the arguing took place another guy from our of state complained that he had driven from hrs away and these idiots blocked him and his family from driving down the road and got pretty wrathy with him. Several months after this ordeal, the guy my grandfather punched put a couple of NY state game wardens in the hospital and because of such, the assault charges were dropped against my grandfather. The back story to this event was that the State of New York had unilaterally gone up to schroon lake ny, and put huge boulders across crane pond road so no one could drive in. This road was not a state road, rather a town road maintained by the Town for over 100 years. The people up there were upset and my grandfather, his brother and a gang went up with dozers and pushed the boulders off the road. The state went up and blocked the road again and again they went up and removed them. The state did not go back and i believe the boulders still sit on the side of the road to this day. They called them stones of shame. My grandfather took on the APA numerous times and beat them everytime. RIP papa. Arguably the toughest guy to ever walk the streets of Warren County.

Tbh, by making sure kids are being fed and eliminating food insecurity you really are investing in your future. Children are less likely to develop a huge list of mental health issues and physical health issues *just* by reducing the very significant stress of food insecurity. You can provide adequate nutrition and really fund future america. Only hesitancy would be obesity as children go home and maybe have a 4th dinner. That being said, obesity doesn't cause the myriad of life long health issues that stress from food insecurity would

Why not just get it out of the trash. That's where the kids put it the first time when they went to buy chips sodas and candy from the machines or their friends. Just because someone is below the poverty line doesn't mean that they're acting the part, or would even care to act the part. I remember begging in school to the other kids around me for money specifically because I did not want the reduced fare lunch or to be seen getting the reduced fare lunch. Healthy vegetables and even fruits? Forget it! It's a classism issue. If everybody had to brown bag it there'd be less waste and happier kids. Subsidize food at the grocery store, not at the school.

Fans of film actress Jean Arthur's work and curious about her life owe a real debt of gratitude to author John Oller. A lawyer by profession and an admirer of Golden Age Hollywood films, Mr. Oller noted the absence of any biography of Arthur and took it upon himself to fill the void. A measured and respectful work based on interviews he conducted with co-workers, family and friends "Jean Arthur The Actress Nobody Knew" is the best gift to those wanting to know more about the person.

I was working at the Colonial Arms back in 1976 back when Michael Terrio, owned it. I worked as a cook in the kitchen and at the end of the night we would have a few after work beers at the bar. When I was leaving, I was walking through the main lobby, and I noticed what looked like fog being lit up by the streetlights shining through the high windows out front, but of course I quickly realized it wasn't fog but it was smoke, then I yelled to Mike that there's a fire and he called the fire department. The fire department came very quickly, we and the FD thought that the fire was extinguished. Apparently, the fire started in the waiters changing room. but like I said we thought the fire was out, we even had the doors opened and had fans running at the doors to suck out the smoke. Me thinking that everything was under control, went home to relax. it wasn't long after I got home and I heard the fire whistle going off and I just knew that fire had reignited, so I drove back to the Colonial Arms and the smoke was bellowing heavily from the eves and right then I knew it wasn't going to be good, and like they say, the rest is history.

This place ruined my career and my life. An SES changed the function of the department at the time I was hired to one I had no background in from analysis to audit readiness. Was hired as a 0510 series although the function of the job was a 0511. There were no established procedures, none of the procedures we were auditing were located on-site, and people wouldn’t answer your questions. It wasn’t so much auditing as it was technical writing, writing rambling several hundred page documents asserting the function was audit ready when it wasn’t. Even my own supervisor said the Air Force would never achieve audit readiness, but we were supposed to say we did. This place was proof that Cro-Magnons still exist. The staff acted like a bunch of high school kids, eavesdropping on phone calls and telling other people what they heard right in front of you, gooney looks of disapproval from people, and the culture was weird and cult-like. Because I didn’t pick up on the work and since I was gay, they bullied me and kept assigning me things that had nothing to do with accounting and that I didn’t have a background in such as computer technician duties. They also kept thwarting my attempts to find another job by providing bad references. In one instance where I found a different position within this agency after that supervisor didn’t call for a reference, they moved the duties of the

Hi , My name is Bernard Vinet and I have been making michigan sauce since the age of 13 yrs old . I am now 70 yrs young as of tomorrow . My father started selling michians in 1963 in a restaurant in Montreal Quebec Canada . Just a ways North of the border off US 87 I believe . If you look up Lafleur Restaurants in Montreal you might be surprised with what you might find. I found out that Michigan's were called, Coney Island Red Hots in 2005 when a customer from New York stopped off at one of our outlets an saw we were selling a Hot dog with sauce . Only difference was we had hot dog + weiner + slice of cheese + oignons , he add a sliver of mustard and called it a Coney Island .
