Hi Keith - I counted 3 crashed - the landing gear on the Viper (I don't count) - and they do say things like this can happen in 3's - and indeed the rest of the flying in this session goes according to plan....Not sure if it Rusty , Old age, or just being tired, but your right I am taking a few weeks off , it could also have been the cold - as for Airsoft/Rations - I do have a few that I should plan to video - will look into making something... @@FlankerTanker yeah well Martyn i consider it a crash if a repair is needed!! you might be getting a bit bored with it too i know i mess up when i start to lose interest in whatever and need to take a break from it!

Hi Ironmover - it sure was frosty -6c (21.2f) - it was cold enough - I have had a bit of a run on Crashing three so far so lets hope thats the end of it for a while (they do say things like this happen in 3's) - Spoiler alert - all the other flights went quite well.... Cheers Martyn

Happy New Year Gina, I always try to look on the Bright side of these happening, and feel better that it was an old, aircraft, I did not fly it much, and now Rob can enjoy it - as for getting out and flying - it really was too cold and frosty -6c for most of the morning - the calor gas was on almost all the time in the hut (which was nice and warm) - Hope you both have had a nice Christmas, I think you have the right Idea -Keep Warm and Well (both of you) - Cheers Martyn

I have quite a few 64mm EDF's I just bank and Yank them unless they come with a rudder - but I can understand why you would want to add a rudder, and indeed the 64mm versions are pretty good for Hand launching..

Hi Sean - I keep looking at the raw video looking for an excuse - but I think it was pure pilot error - slow reactions with a dab of orientation issues - I actually gave the aircraft to Rob for keeps as he had spare parts (he had one that also crashed), so it made sense that he should use his parts to repair it and keep it.. This flying Session has no other way but to go up from here... Cheers Martyn

Hi Jeff - we just were not sure if I had set it all up right and as mine was set up for Hand launching we decide that ben would be best on sticks and I trim - turns out I did a pretty good job of setting it up, not much trimming needed - will up the rates a little for the maiden +2 , nice little edf this one makes a great howl sound - Cheers Martyn

Thanks Jeff - I still feel so nervous when flying it - I have to get more flights in so I start to feel comfortable with it - right now I am a long way off that even landing it I only just get it right - had I left it as it was it would have hit hard !!.. Hope all is well , Cheers Martyn

Hi Jeff - not many changes at all - I have also seen posts and videos of the nose gear ripping off on only the 2nd landing !!! - I am thinking I might use the retracts until they drop off and then go about doing hand launching with it, As you say I also think it will (and to me this is the most important part) be a nice flying aircraft... we shall see - Happy New Year - Martyn

Hi Sean - Happy New Year - Old school assembly (almost like the old ARTF) balsa models back in the 1990's - LOL - I think it should fly well - its a bit like my Vulcan, 70mm EDF only 4S power, it will be interesting, I have seen postings regarding horror stories about the landing gear falling off - will need to keep an eye and check them during assembly - it should be fun - Cheers Martyn

I would also like a Hunter - but the only one I know is the Dynam and its not good on grass - (it also has other issues) - if another version of the Hunter comes to market, I will get one for sure... Happy New Year Keith - Cheers Martyn

They only provide enough screws for two in each Horn - also 4 each would be overkill it does not need them , and I did not want to go our and get some for it. - Solo proporcionan suficientes tornillos para dos en cada bocina; además, 4 cada uno sería excesivo, no los necesita, y no quería ir a buscar algunos.

Finally ? - LOL - I have had plenty of flights without incident - The vipers just don't seem to like me at the moment - I have a third one being assembled - lets hope that survies for 2025 - but this one did seem a little , how shall I say - Special - next to no trimming and she fly's very well, everything came together making this Maiden extremely enjoyable - Happy New Year -

I have one more - just one - its a 70mm e-flite - finger crossed - LOL the TX was me just trying it out - its Bens, it was not the reason it went down, that was the RX, anyway the IX14 is find as are my backup DX9's... problem is Keith it is a small Viper so does not actually provided much space for a new one LOL.... I do. Learning curve is steep but it's absolutely universal and top quality. I got the X20S with the nice gimbals. Want to run 3 receivers? it will. Cut throttle at 400 or any other thing, it can. Drop flaps in .7 seconds or 2 seconds, raise them in half second, you can. It's amazing.
