England had been blessed in its leaders, for th 2:07 e most part. Churcill is outstanding in every way. His courage gave the British, already a brave people, the push to stand in the face of the horrible evil of Hitler.

Churchill never had the type of emotion and bravado that Sir Burton conveyed in his portrayal.

I do t have an axe to grind or anything. I’m just being honest. I think the Closed Captioning in this Episode is the most inaccurate I’ve ever encountered. I tested it out in various minute markers in the video, but it was so bad I had to turn the captioning off. Bug distraction, and the saddest part is the very large variety of European accents, so the captions would have been so helpful.

Richard Burton had distinct voice . Before he became famous, he used to go up the hills in Wales and scream and shout for hours to obtain that unique voice.🥴

Richard Burton what an awesome actor. Other actors that have played Churchill have needed makeup, but Richard Burton does not need all that.

Ellis Island was Richard Burton's last acting appearance before his death in 1984. Needless to say, the cast in this mini-series was amazing.
