Monster House feels very Steven King inspired at least to me. Random supernatural elements that aren’t really explained other than it’s Steven King just go with it. Maybe it wasn’t JUST Constance possessing the house or there was something else already there connected to the land or maybe Constance was just a ticking time bomb who was gonna snap eventually anyway. It’s all something to be theorized and for self interpretation

Well - now we are a year further on. And by this time it's becoming reasonably clear: Rachel Zegler is deeply disturbed, hates the majority of the American population and didn't reject Snow White because she was a similar role to Maria from “Westside Story”, but because she rejects everything that isn't woke, modern or liberal enough. Or what she thinks is modern and liberal. I hope this comment was civilized and respectful enough.

I feel this is slightly misleading. Azula is not a former supervillain, who cackled maniacally as she plotted to burn Metropolis to the ground. She is an antagonist whose loyalties happened to contradict those of the protagonists. She acts as she does because she is a senior member of the royal family of the Fire Nation, and acts as she considers proper for a Princess of that nation. If that means wearing a pretty dress to a formal event, that is what she will do. If that means writing elegant calligraphy, that is what she will do. And if, in war, that means burning her fathers enemies alive and driving their weeping widows and orphans in front of her triumphant armies, that is what she will do. If Zuko wants to turn the colonies into Republic City, he needs to persuade people in the Fire Nation that that is the right thing to do. If he wants his sister to help - and he should as she is almost the only other member of the Royal Family left - he needs to persuade her that that is the right thing to do. But remember: She is someone whose grandfather ordered her father to execute her brother to punish her father (and thought he had the right to do that), whose mother murdered her grandfather to stop the execution, whose Uncle attacked her to stop her from saving her country from its greatest enemy, whose brother abandoned her to support her nations enemies, whose best friends betrayed her, whose Father abandoned her and who, at the moment she finally collapsed under the stress, was attacked by her brother and another of her nations enemies with the goal of killing her, seizing the throne and forcing it to abandon everything it had gained from a century of warfare. She’d be crazy if she DID trust her brother.

So, we know that the other mother can create things on a whim, seemingly from her imagination, and that most things, with the exception of soulless bodies, are allowed to leave the world. That would mean that if the beldam were to be apprehended and held captive at gun point, she could be forced to create anything, preferably oil perhaps or some other shit. Also keep in mind that the tunnel that connects the 2 worlds is shaped similarly to a pipe... see where I'm going with this? That's right, INFINITE OIL! That means if the this is in Ashland, Oregon, United States, all the other counties are going to be asking, "Crickey!/Damn!/Blyin!, The U.S. must have found another tiny oil field I guess..." But unlike the film, the book takes place in England. So this time, The U.S. is going to be like, "Oh shit! The United Kingdom has oil! Hey buddy, HAND IT OVER THIS INSTANT! The Brits: "Oh Fock off ye schewpid Cont!"

The mythology is based on Slavic lore, the Beldam is referred to an old hag or witch. Almost like the famous Baba Yaga. But this version is more unique.

Old Stitch Face, or as he is called, is the creator of the Beldam. His real name is Bilious Dean Beldom (close to Beldam). He is a tall slender figure of a man, who wears an old stitched up Capotain style hat, and a suit that is reminiscent of the early 1800’s. His face is covered in scars and stitches because of his last confrontation with The Beldam. And, in place of where his Left eye should be, there is a Black Button. Yes, one of his eyes is buttoned, so there is a link between him and the Beldam. Bilious never intended for his creation to cause harm, but it did, and now he is cursed. So as long as the Beldam is alive, old Mr.Beldom will not find peace, and he will not die.

I think the show made it clear that these three were always a package deal. Mai and Azula were probably both mad at Zuko and were ready to take him down, and Ty Lee of course went along with her friends because what else woild she do? Though after Mai realized Zuko was right about his decision, she decided to help him and make sure he got out okay. Of course she could have said she was saving her uncle or both Ty Lee and Azula, but Azula wouldn't buy either as she and Ty Lee were able to get off the gondola, and she couldn't give a damn if mai was saving her uncle. Then the fight happened, Ty Lee was really unsure, i think she obviously acted in the moment to stop both of her friends from killing each other. Though of course Azula took this as a betrayal and locked them up. While she obviously cared about her friends, she would have forgiven them for saving Zuko if she truly loved them uncoditionally, and she herself wouldnt let Zuko die if she really vared about him. I think Azula is super complex. She cares about him enough to try and be on good terms, but as soon as he does his own thing shes ready to kill... dont know... honestly Azulas mental state is something really complex and tragic

2:37 Actually, the Latin is "et tibi, pater," which actually means "and to you, Father." The prayer starts with a litany of saints to whom the penitent is confessing, ending with confessing to the priest. 2:43 This is actually "quia peccavi nimis," which means "because I have greatly sinned" The last words continue this with [I have greatly sinned] in my thoughts, in my words, and in my deeds." A little different than your translations, but similar meaning.

This is the greatest incarnation of Harley Quinn. And yes, I'm including Arleen Sorkin, RIP, when I say that. Sorkin's the OG and always will be but in terms of writing and character development, her Harley doesn't even come close to Kaley Cuoco's incarnation. Plus, Cuoco is a phenomenal voice actress. She's the only Harley who's ever managed to reach the insanely high bar Sorkin left behind and consistently remain on that level. The amount of nuance and emotion she can convey in her voice is so masterful that she's able to turn single syllables like "Dad?" and "Yeah!" into heart-breaking deliveries whilst also shifting between tones and subtleties flawlessly whenever she's delivering longer lines. Combining Cuoco's ability to reach Sorkin's level in voice acting with the fact that her Harley has better writing and a brilliant character arc makes her the definitive Harley for this generation, just like Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill became the definitive Batman and Joker back in the day.

I’m pretty sure the live-action remake from Disney got cancelled awhile ago too. Personally I can’t say I’m surprised about that at all. The current CEO, Bob Iger, said in an interview he was never a fan of the original hunchback of Notre dame to begin with and Josh Gad was going to star in it and produce it as well. But the company is trying to cutback on the amount of content they’re making anyways. Although that isn’t stopping them from releasing live-action movies of Snow White, lilo and stitch and Moana of all things too.
@spontaneouswizard35826 күн бұрын
The Hunchback of Notre Dame is certainly a very interesting movie in the Disney animated canon. It’s not really their movie popular movie obviously but not underrated by any means either. Kind of somewhere in the middle. I know some people who like it and others who don’t. Personally I do really like it overall but I never considered it an all time favourite of mine or anything like that.

Personal theory about the line from the book: I think the Beldam was once a girl and she saw the world as boring and cruel but when her mother tried to stop her, she tried to give her the Other World, "she tried to crawl back" meaning she tried to escape the Other World and knew what the Beldam was doing. But then the Beldam put her back in the Other World and killed her. This is probably why the kids, the other father, and other wybie are scared of her, she killed her own mom. The Beldam was then probably cursed with staying in the Other World forever with the guilt of killing her mom as well as feeling lonely probably why the cat says that she "wants something to love" so she doesn't feel so sad anymore
@AashishkebabАй бұрын
She actually removes her ring at the end and paints over her painting in gold (which is related to her flashback). Basically she's reverting to her childhood idealism after realizing she is becoming like her mother. She realizes this after her mother visits and acts like her, just in a more grotesque manner.

As a kid, this was my favorite movie (and it still is), and I didn’t really watch theory videos, but I did come up with a couple theories (with no research done at all except watching the movie thirteen times, plus a feature-length version of the film with only the storyboards with the movie audio in the background and reading the script), but here it is/was: “It’s possible that the Other Mother/Beldam only eats living things, seeing as she eats the souls (and, in the book, pretty much everything else) of children, and she eats the ‘cocoa beetles from _Zanzibar_’ (which, in the book, aren’t actually cocoa beetles and are instead just regular live beetles) while they’re still alive.” I thought this theory was interesting, but I knew I didn’t have much to support it, so I didn’t care about it much.
@AbixmeАй бұрын
Random Theory: The beldam was SUPPOSSED to eat other father and other wybe (because they were her victims) but she thought they would be useful for her next victim.. once she got them to sew buttons in there eyes she kept there souls in there body and kinda make them shapeshift to match the victim (ex. if her target was wybe she would shapeshift other wybe to his grandma and other father to coraline)
