How much of that money went to campaign contributions? Can’t get my system complete. Never has it worked properly since installed. There was always a sensor in a board that needed to be replaced. And the batteries were not taking a charge and needed to be replaced. I have been dealing with these people for 3 years now and I’m out of patients. Is there a class action suit going on against them. Can I get some information on it if so?

@@FourthSeraph Actually that's precisely according to Yahoo finance, I think they reported a wrong market cap for a while. MAXN currently counts 1.4B shares outstanding which go to about 110M market cap at 0.08c per share.

You nailed it. Sunpower had shady business practices and thats why maxeon split. I was working at sunpower when it happened. Sunpower had the worse management and client support.

probably not, the contract will just be assumed by whoever buys out that part of the business but typically you dont just get out of paying the remaining balance because the company files bankruptcy

I bought it at 12 cents per share hoping it would be delisted and now it’s worth 16 cents per share. Most of the time you will make money on delisted stocks and it’s normally a lot of profit unless they do a 20 to 1 or something. but I wouldn’t sell because look at the price of the delisted stocks, they have gone way up per share and are only available to sell. It’s like having a unicorn for sale.

I bought until I couldn’t buy anymore while it was at 11 to 15 cents per share. It’s worth 16 cents per share right now and that number will go up. Don’t listen to this guy. Hold your shares and you will make a profit, maybe a huge profit. How many shares do you own?

The SEC knew that Sunpower had falsified its statements and let it continue to operate for over a year producing fraudulent statements. They misrepresented their earnings on multiple occasions. Without any safeguards in place how can the stock market operate? What is to stop Musk from saying Tesla turned a 2 billion dollar profit then selling all his shares? Whats to stop Amazon executives from embezzling money and then selling their shares before it becomes public knowledge? Sunpower said it got 50 million dollars two months ago and that was a lie. They never got any money and tricked people into thinking the company was safer than it was. So sick of people like you saying you predicted this, how did you know that they would declare bankruptcy a month after receiving 50 million dollars? If you can site another company that has done that in the history of the US where they havent committed fraud or another crime I will delete my youtube channel

I know someone who works at SunPower and have considered it a bad company for years. Just believing whatever you see is not a level of insight that warrants stock picking.

I was also aware of interest rates' effects on residential solar. By the time that $50 million lie came out they were inches from the drain.

@@granthuling3235 You clearly know nothing of their actual story. according to the numbers at the time their financial statements had multiple profitable quarters, and they had replaced their CEO and CFO who were supposedly to blame for the previous incorrect financial statements. It then came out that they had more incorrect statements and had not been profitable. Blue Raven was still exceeding sales goals despite interest rate hikes. The fraud was the only reason they are now bankrupt. Other solar companies are surviving despite interest rate hikes

depends how much you have. For me Id rather just hold it as a gamble with very low odds. If you think there is an opportunity to put it in then sell and put it to use but for me I already just wrote it off

yes, will be interesting to see if it gets delisted before the companies just ceases to exist. Depending on how the bankruptcy goes it might be delisted before they are finished with bankruptcy

Less than three months ago they put out a statement saying they had raised enough money to operate for another year. Yes the solar industry is turbulent but if you are saying you knew this was coming then you had inside information and shouldnt have been trading the stock. What sunpower did is fraud and very likely there will be arrests soon

Personally since its not a huge loss compared to the rest I would sell most of it. Hold 100-200 shares on the small chance the stock turns a profit for you. Invest the rest into something safer

@@Wii602006 Go to the SEC website and report sunpower. The executives were all selling shares before the crash. But thats about it, unfortunately I don't think there is any way to get money back even if it was fraud on their end

I had signed all the paperwork for sunpower on May 2024.. last month they came and put the panels on my roof and now they are just sitting there and they can't turn them on and I can't do anything cause I have to wait until they figure out whats going on... I would like to know if I can cancel so I can look for another company???

Used to work for Sunpower and quit in the summer of 2023. Sold my stocks when I quit. Thank God I did since they’re essentially useless now. So sad bc there were a lot of people on the ground who have lost their jobs.

short squeezes are rare. The short float is still high. It would essentially take a lot of people deciding to buy something that isnt traditionally considered a good investment. Anything is possible but its never likely for any stock

I don't know any lawyers in the area but I would hold off for now. Someone should buy out that part of the Sunpower business. Someone will assume the loan and hopefully will handle maintenance as well.

When hardly anyone had solar it was profitable but now that solar is government subsidized and super popular these companies cant operate effectively. Its just greed, corruption, fraud and mismanagement
