I have used the lower building with the flat roof as a horde base many times, almost no work required. I tend to used a very simple watchtower style base until about day 21 and transition to something carefully designed with traps

Are you going to mine a ton of oil shale while you are here? You will need it later or are you going to spend time breaking down cars? You might have to move some boxes closer to the border on the last day so you have less of a trip as you gain more important loot (if you don't get the motorcycle). Great episode once again. the bridge makes a pretty good base except zombies can get up but it doesn't happen very often. I've only used it my very first run it was next to rext so as soon as I got the next trader I moved base.

The challenge goes on..... I have stolen your staging/crafting technique and found it really works great. I have a flat base, a little larger than yours, but all of the crafting stations are on top, out in the weather. Learning as I go, can't wait to see your progress in the desert!

I really think you shuld have investet in a Nerd Armor level 3 when you unlocked it. While waiting for 6 is propalby best with 3 you got a nice relativly ok mid point in my opinion where its not TO expensiv and speed the progress just enough boostet to be usefull.

Why do you still use a stone sledge when you have the option to use iron?

What you're left with after harvesting and replanting: LotL 0 = -0.5 crops/plot LotL 1 = 1.5 crops/plot LotL 2 = 2 crops/plot LotL 3 = 4 crops/plot Q1 Farmer outfit+boots = +0.2 crops/plot Q2 Farmer outfit+boots = +0.4 crops/plot Q3 Farmer outfit+boots = +0.6 crops/plot Q4 Farmer outfit+boots = +0.8 crops/plot Q5 Farmer outfit+boots = +1 crops/plot Q6 Farmer outfit+boots = +2 crops/plot For example you have LotL Lv.1 and no gear, you go and plant 10 seeds and 2 days later you harvest and replant them and ON AVERAGE you are left with 15 crops from that. In the same example, having max skill and max gear, you would be left with 60 crops per harvest ON AVERAGE.

Where you can't place the block is where the quest marker will be if this poi was a quest. I've had to a couple times.

Nicely done. I love the silos, it's a great base. I'm using it in my own playthrough. I have to agree with the stun baton, and sledge being the best weapons. I've been using the steel sledgy and a t6 stun baton, it kicks ass. But some streamers will tell you otherwise, lol.

Hi all, the capture card I was using to record console footage is no longer capturing (I guess that just makes it a card now) - this coupled with the rapidly decreasing views on this series means this is likely the last episode in this particular run. If this series gets some sort of sudden surge in popularity I'll maybe look to do another console run in future, but for now there isn't much of an appetite out there for me to do a console series it seems, which is fine :) Thanks to all who supported this series. Fun Horde night. It is a bit disappointing about base design but you are not wrong. The tightrope seems to be the most reliable unless you want to build loads of traps and use loads of ammunition and loads of resources and do loads of repairs. I see people try other designs but they usually rely on elevation and a way for the zombies to fall off. Remember the days of the underground bases? Looking forward to the next move.

It's amazing that you did all that high work building without breaking a leg or collapsing something important. That block placing bug is annoying. I like the "adapt" attitude, I could use more of it. The horde was great. Another move already and a bit harder biome. I hope you make it until at least the last layer, then you can start again from the beginning, that might be interesting. Great episode, tons of fun to watch. Thank you.

Cotton farming is super useful for cloth, super corn sells well, people complaining of farming being nerfed are stupid asf

you forgot your sledge turret but you didn't really need it. 3 cops no spiders but a number of dogs a pretty fortunate zombie mix for horde 2. I did my forest layer in the silos i just put a wedge on top of the tall ladder and built up the cage around it...oh and built a platform to stand on so i wouldn't fall yet again...i think I still managed to fall

Anybody else ever noticed the pocket bike symbol and the motorcycle symbol are backwards the motorcycle symbol is on the pocket bike in the pocket bike symbol is on the motorcycle... The devs need to change that

Can someone assist me real quick. I’m trying ti make a tree farm for wood, but don’t know when the trees are fully grown. Some look like they are partially grown and others look decent but I want the big trees to get max wood. I’m new to the game so I have 0 experience with any other alpha. Do the trees keep getting bigger the longer I grow them or no? Some trees I’ve seen have like 1600 health and give loads of wood.

Contrary to what the loading screen tells you, the fire ax is quite effective as a melee weapon. I never try to switch from it if I'm being pressed while using it.😅

With those quests you are going to have to start building a horde base just inside the POI bounds. Personally I prefer the Motorcycle with fuel saver,increased gas tank,and armor mods.

I get the tree not falling down a lot even in the forest. The numbers of items when mining get messed up and pile on top of each other on the bottom right too. Game is bugged still. There does not seem to be any reason behind the POI's. I got a feral wight and a radiated biker in the forest in a tier 2, when I was pretty low level. My tier 5 wooden club did not do well. I wonder if it's getting confused with the infested quests and normal quests. I love the police car hack, thank you for that one. I have been breaking them open and running away until the zombies despawn. I don't get good loot from them anyway. I have even used a lockpick to break in, still poor loot mostly. Great episode. Thank you.

OK I won't; I'm not sure why they felt the need to change the trader dialogue, unless it has to do with future plans for The Duke. I am not a fan. I am behind on my viewing, life things. pretty sure one of those drops is right on a fingerling of burnt that goes into the forest at least it looked like it when it dropped a while back. Military POIs seem a bit hairy I thought you were in that mining operation one I forget the name it looks similar to fort razor that's a killer....I'll say no more. 😁

I agree that you definitely need a weapons upgrade, you might really be struggling soon. You're the only person I've seen try this strategy of saving books, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. I hope it works for you. Looking forward to the next horde and move, see you in the next one.

This new hored base will be interesting. Personally I would put poles between each silo and fight on the last one, the one near the truck.
