I'm still early in the learning curve but I guess I prefer to not cut the roses, if possible. Currently, roughly 45% of my 7 shares portfolio is HIMS stock due latest price developments. It somehow doesn't feels right but I want to grant this stock to get as big as it can be due its own power.

$CDLX shares outstanding increased by more than 15% since this video was released. Management is milking this company dry while shareholders foot the bill. Top 5 executives took home more than $35mn in total comp last year while stock price languished.. probably related.

Great clip. Working out maintenance CapEx vs Growth is a key investor input and differentiator. Espically for technology focused companies who include a large portion in R&D, expenses in the income statement, even though this likely includes a lot of growth CapEx.

That explains his subpar performance! On top of that, a meaningful part of his portfolio is in businesses where OTHER managers invest his money for him. Berkshire, Prosus, Exor. If Guy Spier is only willing to make 3-5% positions and is hesitant to buy more shares because he is afraid, that speaks miles for his competence and the understanding of the investments. Buying Berkshire, cloning Berkshire (BYD) is what everybody is able to do if he uses a bit of his brain. Charging hefty amounts of performance fee for THAT is not understandable to me.

Additionally, he SEVERLY underperformed the SP 500 for the last 20 years, only if you take the full time frame into consideration (Inception 1997), he beat the market. I am very sorry for his investors, he now takes some money out to buy "a couple of homes", if id get 15-20% of every return north of 5-6%, id buy a couple of homes too haha!!

Performance isn’t just absolute returns. What has Guys compounded annual return been? What’s his Sortino ratio? What’s the max drawdown been?

So that should mean that once netflix ends the growth stage, its earnings power should go up, when the majority of the content has been 90% amortized? It is what i always thought too, but never was able to gain enough confidence in the actual earnings power and the returns on incremental content spending.

how do you even invest into turkey? like what kind of broker would you need? XD
@digbysummerhill3154 Жыл бұрын
If you search for equities turkey ADR I am sure you will find the list. Note you should research the difference between owning an ADR and stock directly as it is different. So you need to research the companies and then also research if ADR's are right for you. Many brokers in the UK and Europe will let you buy ADR's
