What I like most about Monsoon is that is apparent that she is a beautiful soul. Very very nice and charming person. Also i think that one of the most difficult thing in investing is to keep it simple and i think she does. She is very intelligent and will do great. Would love to hear more of her. By the way also great job by Tom as always!!

@krunalmodi
@krunalmodi Жыл бұрын
yes, I think Tom also didn't hear the quote. Here is the quote (best to my google search abilities) "Ben Graham walks into a candy store and buys the cheapest candy. Charlie Munger walks into a candy store and spots the candies he likes best and waits for them to go on sale!"

@@krunalmodi Thanks. Monsoon replied to me with following quote: "When Ben Graham walks into a candy store, he finds the piece of candy on the largest sale and buys it. How can she say the downside is too great on cigar butts!? That's the whole point of the concept to limit the downside because you are paying less than the intrinsic value. I wish you called her out on that. Still great interview overall!

I wonder how long Munger's check-list is? If my checklist were 200 questions I'd be worried about losing site of the forest for all the trees. My checklist is 30 questions but there are only a handful that are most important to me.

I need a partner to invest in rental real estate in Uganda. About 20k usd is enough to start. 45 million people, we target the lower middle class that's about 60 - 70 % of the population. After we establish ourselves we move to education, build schools, 1000 students each paying 300-500 dollars every term (3 months) for 3 terms a year. Then we diversify over time to other sectors like commercial real estate, food ,factories etc. Talk to me and let's see if we can corporate

It has to be the worst decision to follow her Dad. She shouldnt ride his coat tails. Her Dad pulling strings, already rich and getting a huge headstart over other investors. If she becomes the worlds richest woman she won't get credit.
