This is a very easy tutorial. You mentioned in the comments that you used 1.5 meters for each cord, making them 75 cms when folded. That is for this particular hangar. I don't know how long the finished hangar is, but adding the plate and pot will make it shorter. I suggest that beginners use these measurements to make a test hangar and see how they like it. If you want it shorter, cut shorter pieces. If you want it longer, cut the cords longer. You can also add a simple 3 strand braid, cord, or decorative chain at the top to make it longer. I like how the process was clearly explained while flat on the table.
