As a person who has worked in 3 law firms for nearly 4 years i agree with each and every point. It was easier for me to work in law firm when i was single once i am married it was impossible. It is indeed very toxic. However if you have a very good person to train you as a fresher you will gain experience and learn a lot. Your skills will improve further if you change jobs. This is one of the reasons most companies prefer people who have worked in law firm. I have also seen fresh grads who have joined law firm after they joined as in house counsel since there was no learning in the job.

This thought is always building up in my mind as a litigation firm, where I am fed up with work culture of law firm. However mine is not that bad but to think in terms of growth what type of work culture is offered in tier 1 firms is scary and makes me shift career paths all together.

I am a NLU Visakhapatnam 2021 graduate. I have been working for Big 4 consulting firm for the last 3 years and I can completely relate to you. Long working hours, lack of work life balance and no room for innovation and a new approach to your current work. Money is good but it can motivate you to some extent only

You experienced the firm culture and quit. That's great at least you quit after experiencing it. But the thing you quit the same law firm job...is a distant star for many who come from small towns and are first generation in the field of law. They may never even get a chance to be part of it for their whole life. It's just perception..which drives all of us.😊

Bullshit, It's just women can't handle the work pressure in certain fields, that's why those fields hire men as majority of their workforce. You all just can't digest the fact that "I am working 18 hours a day why" reason behind that is you always have options with you. Get married, earn the half of what your husband is making so that you have plenty for you and for the family. Just stating facts, women crave for equality and when you are asked to pay for it you all make excuses, it's bitter but it's truth.
