The wide leg barrel jeans are not very flattering on everyone. I am not a fan. However I do love basic wide leg jeans.

I love the shape as they remind me of the Japanese tobi trousers with an American (80s) twist. I have a vintage cropped jean jacket with a similar detail in the sleeves. I for one enjoy mixing things up. Great job.

I think all these things play off of each other, like everyone's at fault to some extent. It is frustrating to see how much content is just an ad now - buy this thing, look what I bought, look at what you could have. I guess there's something in the human brain that draws people to this type of content, but companies and influencers have taken it to the next level to the point where it has become exhausting. There are certain types of haul videos and unboxings I can't watch anymore because it's all starting to look like excess junk or it's trying to make me buy something, use their code, etc. I'm starting to find that sort of thing kind of shallow and I'm losing interest. I follow someone who used to review items but only does hauls now, and it literally stresses me out to see someone acquire that much stuff so often. Every time I scroll past a Temu or Shein haul I roll my eyes. I think part of it is because I've been looking at my own habits. I know I shop too much and want to actively work on acquiring less. Now when I see people haul or post often, I see that person as a shopping addict, that we're all just watching the addiction in real time like it's fine and cheering them on, "great haul" "cute stuff" "I need that" "cool collection" and then we want to participate in it too because of shared interests. I guess we're all to blame.
