it not only needed skill but immense mental power; if you didnt work your brain up to receive pleasure from the correct situations you would end up dead; it literally required to have read and learned your brain field manual so to speak (its clearly very hard to have quick reaction unless you are worked up on natural brain chemicals dopamine, serotonin, endorphin, adrenaline); the reward system has to be taught only racing ; and thats no longer needed or not as much cus new cars are airplanes for the road, no longer amusing no longer fun;(all mechanical skill, muscle memory and 0 brain power being used); yes great aerodynamics but all cars drive the same with little to no difference; thats why f1 is no longer what it used to be... i see new f1 onboards from 23, 24 where the driver made 1 or 2 corrections for the whole lap and people in the comments that have 0 idea what they talking about praising that...not only the skill ceiling is lowered but the spectator knowledge.. f1 will never be the same but after all, all novelty dies out

I would rather watch this quality over the sound of the current F1. I would take the lower video quality and low birates for the current cars to sound like this again.

00:48 ...entering Eau Rouge to exiting Raidillon in not more than a couple of seconds? I've been there. The climb is 100ft or more and it has to be a good couple of hundred metres of track. These boys are threading rockets through the eye of a VERY small and incredibly fast needle! Brave drivers and a great track!

DRS “Drag Reduction System” is a feature on F1 cars that changes the aerodynamics using wings and flaps from pushing as much air up forcing the car to go down to maximize grip, to allowing more air flow straight behind the car. The benefit is when having a long straight it will allow a higher top speed. (In simpler terms: DRS ON air gets pushed up = more grip, less top speed. DRS OFF more air is freely passing the body if the car, less grip, higher top speed.
