Just stumbled on this, but would love to see this without signature allies (like the X-Men video). I likely would have added the likes of Quake, Wasp, and Black Knight actually. Probably leaning towards VT, mostly for Hawkeye.

Question, on the first scheme against Scott summers, was the boost card for the scheme forgotten or am I missing something? I lost against ultron last night, my first go at him With Wolverine and gambit. The drones overwhelmed me.

I found out: I need two LCGs in my life. :D Arkham Horror is king imho. The story, the deckbuilding, the mechanics (mostly), the artwork...its just incredible and SO much fun to play with my brother. We even build or own little app which reads the huge amount of text with proper ai voices and atmospheric background music and sounds. BUT you need to commit to it and a campaign. I got Marvel Champions as second LCG and to me its the perfect alternative. No reading, no big campaign, quick fun, easy rules but many possibilities and so many beloves heroes to try out. Marvel Champions is great for what it is, but to be honest it cant compare to the memorable experiences I got out of Arkham Horror. There are just so many moments where the different campaigns surprise you and such intense situations...

I would take VTs over Nelsons on this one!

Cyclops was consistently thwarting the main scheme for 0. I feel like you could have flip more early game despite Vertigo 3 scheme just to get that basically 7 handsize AE. In the late game, you can’t because of the acceleration icon

Great topic, banter and card coverage. I'll take VT's please - pretty much can list them ALL as "always guys". Yeah Goldballs put Wolvie on the edge of the trash pile (into the "niche only" pile) imo. Psylocke was pushing to start with since she has a "double-tap" attack anyway. If you need to break piercing, that are so many great cheap allies to just pop it or even hero basic that your deck prob has anyway. If you got Goldballs, Triage is effectively 8att,1thw,1block for 3ER! I like the Polaris over Armor for that floating 'Tough' too. Karma has a lot going FOR her, but a LOT against her too. Not only does the "pair" take 2 ally slots in a non-leadership aspect, but that "bonus ally" is not gonna be an "X-man" so will turn off Utopia's Ally limit bump also. So you instantly drop to 1 other ally as your limit...which is kinda harsh in an X-man deck - there are just SSOOOO many great (& often cheap) buddies to come thru. Hmm, I think Forge is losing out these days to the PSS and the new pair of basic 2 costed X-men - Triage & Beak. My "mostly Hero" decks are only running 2 supports for him: X-Jet & Utopia. I'll get 1 from Build Support and BS will leave the deck-cycle rather than remain a low-stat card. Before Next-Gen, he might still make it. If you are running 6+ targets for him, then early on you prob have 1 or more of them in hand and/or cannot afford him AND 2.
