Great video! You can obviously do that blindfolded! Question… My Toyota is a 2021 78 Series. I read somewhere that you don’t need to get the reverse signal from the loom by the driver’s side on the floor, but you can find it behind the head unit or the glove box… any comments? I haven’t been able to locate such a wire… Also, do you need to power your camera connecting red to grey or just connect the red to the reverse cable? Thanks!

Our 2022 Cruiser has 4 black wires. 3 thin and one a little thicker. It's the thicker wire. Otherwise, this kit and the video are perfect. Super easy!!!!

In case anyone's wondering, the difference between the F309E and the F309 (without the E) is that the E is primarily for Asia, Australia and part of Europe where you have DAB, long wave, medium wave radio stations. The F309 is for the western hemisphere (US, Canada, etc) where we have HD Radio and no LW/MW. Other than that, everything else is the same.

For anyone with a 2022 cruiser. It is not a red and black cable in the wiring duct. It a a black one. There are 3 cable sizes. There is only one mid sized black cable, which is the reverse. Good luck.

Just an update. There is not two red black wires in a november 2021 model. The only red black wire in the driver's kick panel is not for reverse signal. The only place I could find it is in the white plug behind the glove box.

Doesn't look to bad, will my BA GT-P be able to use the unit? I'm thinking specifically about the premium sound in mine, plus things like the traction control button etc, currently located in a row of buttons along the bottom of the factory facia. What about outside temp display? It would ne a great unit if it can still carry out the functions of my GT-P. Like the idea of not trashing my factory facia, system and wiring as well

How do the AC controls display on the head unit, is any Android auto/apple carplay unit going to be able to do that? And is there something like that for the trip computer on the ICC that you will lose to make it display on the unit? Cheers.
