Great video! You can obviously do that blindfolded! Question… My Toyota is a 2021 78 Series. I read somewhere that you don’t need to get the reverse signal from the loom by the driver’s side on the floor, but you can find it behind the head unit or the glove box… any comments? I haven’t been able to locate such a wire… Also, do you need to power your camera connecting red to grey or just connect the red to the reverse cable? Thanks!

Can you tell me why the green wire needed to be extended down to the kick panel. Does it not have enough power?

Our 2022 Cruiser has 4 black wires. 3 thin and one a little thicker. It's the thicker wire. Otherwise, this kit and the video are perfect. Super easy!!!!

Just an update. There is not two red black wires in a november 2021 model. The only red black wire in the driver's kick panel is not for reverse signal. The only place I could find it is in the white plug behind the glove box.

I rang and was advise that Toyota change there wire colours almost every 6months My cruiser was a dec 21 mode and it was one of the black wire in that harness if you have a test light have a play around

Yes the Toyota do that as early 2022 dual cab had red color wire as reverse but late 2022 model had black wire as reverse , so I think it just need to test out.

For anyone with a 2022 cruiser. It is not a red and black cable in the wiring duct. It a a black one. There are 3 cable sizes. There is only one mid sized black cable, which is the reverse. Good luck.
