I didn’t use it and ended up giving it away to someone once I realized I didn’t want to use it. I felt like it was more journal prompts than I wanted with the way I like to journal. And I don’t want to hoard a bunch of journals. If I remember correctly, I think I ordered this one from Amazon but you can order directly from their website, too. The company invited me to be an affiliate sometime after I did this video and I got a 10% off coupon code (see description) but I’m not sure if my code is even valid anymore.

I didn’t understand why EC only gave 4 preliminary entries (yearly intentions, etc) for a 5 Year Journal. I also don’t understand the perpetual calendar for each month. If you’re using it for 5 years, you can’t put 5 years worth of information on one A5 size sheet of paper. The only use I see for that page is for reoccurring holidays, birthdays, anniversaries that always fall on the same day. I understand the concept of a line a week - it’s less intimidating when you don’t feel you have to write something each day, but are ok doing a weekly summary.
@CreatingSelfCarePlansАй бұрын
Exactly! The 4 yearly entries and one perpetual calendar in a 5 year journal is a little weird. I understand the concept, too, it just feels like this journal doesn’t quite make sense for that. I think because they tried to make it flexible that’s why it’s confusing.

Thanks for a great review. I bought the stamp pens. I knew that the stamp side has caused a few people problems with quality and consistency of shape, so I didn't have high hopes. However, I was pleasantly surprised. After some use and practice, they seemed to improve. They're not perfect, but I really do like them.

I used the sprouted daily for 2024 and enjoyed it. Too many daily for me though. I went with the weekly layout to try for 2025 with the daily sticky note layout for when I need a daily. I plane on taking a few and sticking it in the back cover and then replenish when they get low. That way I always have the daily available and don’t have to keep up with the sticky note pad.

If you mean you want to hear sounds other than normal white noise sounds as your selected “sleep sound”, then yes. They have those options, too. The closest to meditation would be the calming singing bowls. I don’t have the paid subscription so that’s just looking through the options without that. Let me know if that answers your question.

Looking to understand how this works. With a couple, people go to bed different times, so not interested (want to disable) the wind down and get right to the sleep noise on a regular basis. Seems like we can't disable the wind down (talk, music, etc.) permanently?
@CreatingSelfCarePlansАй бұрын
I have the option to delete the wind down music I’ve set up on my routine. But if you want to keep it there for the occasional time you might use it, you can always just double tap the rest button and it will go straight to the next part of your routine, which for me is the sleep sounds. Hope that helps!

@@CreatingSelfCarePlansyes we all do have limits in our minds and knowledge. This garbage product costs $10 in alibaba my friend. It isn’t trading or doing business at this point. It is profiteering over poor people sense of judgement this is a chinese trash and it is way over priced :)
@tomw5vlt119Ай бұрын
It's not an alarm clock so much as sleep therapy. Some of us out there have terrible sleep patterns which is so very unhealthy that it takes a toll on overall health with serious symptoms developing including memory loss, for example. So if this actually works, it's worth $1000's IMO
@CreatingSelfCarePlansАй бұрын
@tomw5vlt119 I think you’re right about this. This clock is meant more as a solution to help people who have difficulty falling asleep and/or have developed unhealthy habits that are contributing to poor sleep. Or for people who have a hard time waking up and could benefit from the sunrise feature that gently prepares your body to waken.

I'm starting to use a new unit, and didn't have to subscribe to a "hatch plus" that was mentioned. I'm using a Hatch app, which allows devices to be added including this Restore 2 unit, and as far as I can see, it works just fine with many options that do not require a subscription?
@tomw5vlt119Ай бұрын
@@CreatingSelfCarePlans See my comment this post, not sure subscription is required. Edit: Their sales on amaz0n says, "A Hatch+ subscription ($4.99/mo) unlocks the full Hatch sleep experience so you can enjoy expertly designed audio, lights, features and personalized tools to help you improve your sleep. One subscription for all of the Hatch devices in your home. Continuous software updates with new features and content launches on a regular basis." ... so while I'm just getting familiar with mine, there are many sounds, lights, that come with the unit ($169 currently) that don't require the subscription, but for additional options (sounds, lights, content) the subscription is an option and is a once paid for any and all Hatch devices in the account.
@CreatingSelfCarePlansАй бұрын
Correct. Hatch+ unlocks all the features. I wasn’t able to set up a wind down routine unless I had the Hatch+ but once I ended my free trial, it still allowed me to use the routine, but I cannot edit it. I don’t have my routine set to start at a set time. I just press the rest button when I want to start it and I can keep pressing it to skip to the next part of my routine if I don’t want to go through the whole routine. For example, I have a 30 jazz piano that starts playing when I press it once, but if I press it again, it goes to the next step in my routine which is 2 hours of cricket sounds. I recently realized that if I double press it quickly, I can just skip straight to the crickets. 😊
@CreatingSelfCarePlansАй бұрын
Correct. The Hatch+ isn’t required. The unit is controlled with an app that has pre-programmed a variety of options for alarms and sleep sounds. Mine came with a 30 day trial of Hatch+, which I feel at this price point they should have included a full year.

Love the pink and grey.. Id definitely consider these for 2026 ( i have my journals for next year) if what i have decided on doesnt quite gel in 2025.. very new to the planner world from Bujo and loving the structure, but i havent quite found my jam yet..😊 i also thinkthe reflection pGes should be at the end of each book, so we intentionally take with us what we want into the following 6 months, and leave behind what didnt work, or work throughwhat didnt gel and action steps to help make those better

So now that i saw your review i am for sure going to purchase it. I know she used to use Mäksēlife before and Erin Condren, I believe. I like the combinations of these steps because it helps me so much. It is plain and streamlined planner pages that she brightens up with dot makers and her black paper mate flair. Anyways, went off on a tangent with my ADHD, SORRY.
