Not entirely on the developers of the game per se. Windows, especially Win 11 has a lot of bloatware running in the background eating a crapload of RAM. Memory limitations could also be due to the Game Engine itself, and the game devs either commission the game engine developer for plugins for optimization, or develop that themselves on top of everything they already are doing. Not to mention that on PC, different hardware can interact very differently with each setup. As games get more complex and more resource demanding, problems like these will occur, and we can only rely on them to fix and optimize along the way via patches and updates, while we as users report the issues we encounter.

@ save up to buy one. modern games dont run well on hdd's. try and save up to get a nvme ssd or just a sata ssd. both work way better.

@@theforce243 I hate the modern trend of relying on tech advances to cover for having to optimize properly, but as a temporary solution that will also benefit you in other ways, you can get a 1 or 2tb SSD for like $30-40 these days. You can even get high quality ones for like $15-20 on sale if you look hard enough.
