In my early 20s, I didn't have a PC, and would go round to a friend's house to play WoW. fun fact, the actual reason tennis players grunt like that is that at the pro level, the sound the ball makes off the racket gives away how they hit it/where they're going. so they grunt to cover it up and keep them guessing

I had that graphical issue, I had it installed on my D: drive so I uninstalled and reinstalled on the C: drive and it fixed everything

@ I only know how to do it on steam, but if you are downloading the game, make sure that the drive you use is the C: drive, it will look like that. It should prompt you to pick the install path, use the default steam path for program files.

Correction, there have been non mutant xman. At one point cloak and dagger were xman and in current comics juggernaut is an xman(he is not a mutant just really strong from a magic rock)

Just a heads up if you haven't gotten to that part of the video yet, they don't actually explain "how to fix lag in Marvel Rivals", it was just referencing how they pranked their friend, Ami who asked the same question. Anyways, any actaul tips to improve Rivals performance? (Season 1, my game keeps crashing when I do remotely anything past the homescreen due to an Unreal Engine Error.)

In the launcher you can go to settings where it says something like “Start with GPU debug mode”, this fixed it for me.

Also in the launcher, probably a temporary workaround but on the bottom left you can clear cache files. It'll reset your ingame options (including the sound... which is incredibly deafening when not turned down)

I made a video on it. Set everything on low or off, render scaling set to 60, and there's a mod on nexusmods that's super easy to install that sets the graphics even lower. Been using it since day 1, it's just a text file and it made me go from 40-80fps to 120-160fps. The game is extremely poorly optimized but none of the streamers on 4090's are talking about it.

@ Just know that someone found that having high FPS gives you lag in game. And having low FPS makes you do less damage... Capping at 100-110 is recommended

btw for anyone actually struggling with stuff not loading at the start of the match, try moving the installation files to your local ssd, since I was having the same issue when it was on my external hard drive, and is working way better now that I relocated the files. It was kind of mentioned near the beginning of the video, but some people might not have picked up on it.
