Why would I want to sound like someone else? Sound like you are, don't be a copy of the copy of the copy.
@crdpth4 күн бұрын
It is simply a tutorial for people who want to sound similar to Porter Robinson's style, anyone can sound however they want, whether it is something more original or copying a style, it is the producer's decision.
@aerience2 күн бұрын
rather than "copying", i prefer to more like using it as "sound palette", we can take what we want to be in our song and take from other palette, i believe that it's one of the ways to find our own sounds

Tbh I think Porter's range of different music styles is so unique, even if you take only Nurture, it's hard to cover all of it in one video. Great video!!

Honestly, I hardly ever comment on videos, but the fact, that you left the scale notes grayed out in the background and on top of that explained how diminished and augmented chords work BLEW MY MIND. I'm exteremely grateful for this video. Have a great day!
I learned nothing except use reverb and samples. What is that piano and violin plugin though? It sounds beautiful

The scales are usually referred by the root note and then the name of the scale like C major, D lydian, E minor because if you say Cmaj it could be misinterpreted as the C major triad or Emin as the E minor triad which can lead to confusions. But still, this is an amazing tutorial for beginners and is very easy to understand, if I was a beginner watching this then I would really benefit a lot from this video. Keep up the great work! Also I'd love to see a continuation explaining how chord progressions work and also how melodies work.
