Plenty of interest concerning the foils but not much said about the rudder foil. I. It seems equally important. Do they differ much from other rival boats?

The other teams are also holding back on their new rudder foils. The only report I have seen is that the tilt gear seems to be all now above deck.

I thought I heard that the mast was one design? Thats not the same as the others. "Some parts of the boat are supplied - the mast, rigging, foil-cant arms and their hydraulics are all stock components"

Cool team of sailors!
@barryscott62224 ай бұрын
Looks like Taihoro has a technique for dealing with gusts, where she just raises the ride height. So just popping up higher, or lower, as the wind strength changes. Instead of heeling over, a higher ride height would allow more wind slippage under the hull, relieving excess pressure. And it may also increase the righting moment too - altho someone with more maths might like to check that one out...

In high winds it looked like quite a bit of (deliberate) heel going on too?
