I missed Zep Live. 1981 Pittsburgh Sept 25th. My birthday . A Friday . Tickets were going to go on sale Monday and news comes over the small radio we had in our 7th period art class that Bonzo had died . My birthday sucked but me and my ZepHeads made the best of it with a Kegger that night and some doobs and Cranking out Physical Graffiti back in the sticks .

I was 13 days old on this day. My dad showed me all the great stuff. Zeppelin came into my life at 5 years of age. I have loved them since. My dad bought me every album on tape when he got a job xfer. He came home on the weekends and bought them for me in order so i had em for the car. I have all of it on vinyl now as well. Now I own 2 les pauls amongst other fine axes. I have played in bands and still absolutely love them they are the best band that ever was and ever will be. A complete force of nature. Bow to your overlords and pay your dues to the best band that this world ever saw and will EVER see. Without them i would have never went down paths i took and gotten into some of the most rewarding things in my life. I intentionally keep myself from listening to them at times and then will finally allow myself to hear them. They always bring goosebumps and feelins of euphoria. They are a conduit for all that is good.

20 days after my 15th - I'm still struggling to play Venus and All Right Now, but I nonetheless looked the part, at least. The old man wasn't too impressed, but mum wanted to know the dance steps.

My brother has photos from when they played at The Boston Tea party and im sure you know the Zep history about that venue. I was lucky to meet Robert and Jimmy on their No Quatrer . Page was more interested in meeting me and Robert, Seemed like a decent guy. He seem like He was quiet believe it or not.

This is what it has come to for us Led Zeppelin fans. Schizophrenic concert footage. There is not one clear bootleg complete stage shot with audience recording of this band . Anywhere !! With a complete song and great sound. Every band in creation..even the worst bands to the Beatles there is at least some decent concert footage. I've seen better Bigfoot footage. Still waiting for the Holy Grail.

Peter Grant and the band didn't want that. Maybe Page can tell you why now.
@ledzepfilm
@ledzepfilm 19 күн бұрын
You have to remember this band existed in the 1970's. Long form audience shot bootleg footage was hardly an art-form at that time. That didn't onset until the early 80's, with very limited exceptions. The closest we have with Led Zeppelin is 50 minutes of footage shot in Montreal, 1975.

@@ledzepfilmI keep having to explain this to Van Halen fans who are frustrated by the lack of quality video of that band. Even if there is a cache of pro-shot footage, it was a money loser for the record company and the band in the 70s and early 80s. There wasn’t a huge demand for concert videos until the late 80s at best and even then the production costs were astronomical. There just wasn’t a profitable market for such material.
