Water is to be added to the bottom of the Incubator Pro, make sure to read the instructions for an optimal performance.

I have an exoterra and it's absolutely wonderful for my snakes. But I do have to admit, what's the point in the padlock if you can just take the top off the exact same way? 😂

The top is way less accessible compared to the front doors, especially if there are fixtures on top! We would not recommend it, but you can always use silicon if you want the top to be unremovable.

Hi there, I am planning to buy one of these tank but I have two questions. 1, are there any bigger tanks with drainage built in coming out soon? 2, if I put sand on the bottom of my paludarium for the aquatic session, will it be sucked into the drainage and slowly clog it? What about leftover fish food and such, will it clog the drain? Thank you!

Hi Wanda, if you use sand, we would recommend adding an extra fine filtration medium like the white aquarium filter mousse to avoid clogging.

Hi Duncan, there are different opinions out there regarding mixing frog species in terrariums. What we for sure can tell you is that it all depends on the kind of species you are planning to combine.

Hello. You have placed a Heat Mat under both of your Terrariums, and you even state in your video on to do so. HOWEVER on your website you state not to place an Heat Mat under your Terrarium as this will dry out your substrate quickly!!! So do we or not? I have just set up my first Bio Active set up for dart frogs and have used the heat mat like in your vids, with the same substrate layering....

Hi Ian, you can place a Heat Mat below the terrarium. But in case you do, it is important to keep an eye on the humidity of the substrate. Depending on the size of your heat mat, spray settings of your mister, and if it is connected to a thermostat or not, the substrate will dry out faster compared to when there is a heat mat installed.

Hello, we have different sizes available. All our terrariums are 45cm deep, width can vary from 20 to 90 cm, height from 20 to 90 cm. The first terrarium in this clip is 45*45*45.

The USB fogger is connected to a hygrostat to ensure optimal and stable humidity levels. Certainly not overkill!

Man these were so awesome. Exo terra are some of the only people that have shot footage of certain reptiles in their natural habitats. I used this footage as inspiration when designing my Klemmeri enclosure. It’s amazing they helped reptiliatus and friends go on an expedition and make videos. I hope it’s done again next year! Exo terra really is a great company to have in the hobby.

Hello! UVB lamps should never be connected to a thermostat. Only incandescent bulbs (and ceramic heaters) are bulbs that are compatible with thermostats. Mercury vapor, metal halide and fluorescent bulbs should not be connected to a thermostat.

@@waitkayy I’m not sure what you mean. I don’t have experience with the Shadedweller but it shouldn’t be getting hot enough that it affects your reptile. It’s UVB & visual daylight only, and then you should have a separate heat source! :)

There are cable inlets at the top back side of the terrarium: these can be used to pass misting tubing or electrical wires.

Hey, can I please get a reply? My lights keep turning off after it’s on for like 30 mins to an hour? And I want it on constantly, until I want to turn it off during the night. I’m using Arcadia DHP and Arcadia UVB pro t5 kit. How can it stay on without it shutting off?

Hello. The thermostat will shut the power off as soon as the temperature in the terrarium is reached. If you want the bulbs to stay on longer you can set a higher temperature, but keep in mind there is a danger of overheating in that case. We recommend using a regular timer in your case.

Is there a way to replace the door? I ordered one from Josh’s Frogs and it showed up broken. They’re letting me keep the broken tank and they’re sending me a replacement (awesome of them) but if I can order and install a replacement door I can repurpose what is already here for a new project

Rotaugen-Baumfrösche sind in Mexiko, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica und Panama heimisch und kommen sogar in einigen isolierten Populationen in Kolumbien vor. Sie bevorzugen in erster Linie tropische Regenwälder und feuchte Tieflandwälder, sind aber manchmal auch in feuchten Wäldern an prämontanen Hängen bis zu einer Höhe von 1250 m über dem Meeresspiegel zu finden. Der gebräuchliche Name des Rotaugenlaubfroschs bezieht sich direkt auf die schönen, großen roten Augen, die diese Frösche in der Nacht zeigen. Der Rotaugen-Baumfrosch wird manchmal auch als Rotaugen-Laubfrosch bezeichnet, weil er auf dem Rücken der Blätter der Bäume und Sträucher schläft, in denen er lebt. Rotaugenlaubfrösche sind beeindruckende, langlebige und relativ "pflegeleichte" Amphibien. Ihre einnehmende Persönlichkeit, ihre riesigen leuchtend roten Augen, ihre leuchtend grüne Rückenfarbe mit blauen Streifen an den Seiten und ihre leuchtend orangefarbenen Schwimmfüße machen sie zu einem der beeindruckendsten Ausstellungstiere, sowohl für Reptilienanfänger als auch für fortgeschrittene Hobbyisten. Rotaugen-Baumfrösche sind eine recht gesellige Art und lassen sich am besten in kleinen Gruppen von 4 bis 8 Tieren halten. Die Interaktion zwischen den Tieren in diesen kleinen Gruppen erhöht nicht nur das Vergnügen beim Betrachten, sondern regt auch ihr Paarungsverhalten an. Rotaugenlaubfrösche werden in den USA und Europa seit über 30 Jahren in Gefangenschaft gezüchtet.
