I haven't made a team in a long time, so IDK how the meta is rn (the video is randbats) It depends on your style of play (more offensive, more defensive...), but I usually start with a balanced team. Find a way to have a balanced team (1 tank for special and physical attackers, 2 attackers per type) and keep the weaknesses in check (no more than 3 Mon weak to a single type, preferably 2) If you use their movepools in the right way, u should be able to get a great team, as long as the Mons are not too weak (don't use a diglett 😁)

@@Rats633depends on the format but most of the time you want a team that has coverage over most of the different types in the game or if you want to focus on a specific gimmick like zoroark’s illusion or terrain.

@@AlmAccord That's the beauty tho! This isn't FEAR! It's a bit slower but works repeatedly c: Sash + Endeavor -> Quick Attack in competitive gets rid of exactly 1 mon. But Rocky Helmet + Sturdy + Pain Split has the potential to break through SEVERAL legendaries 😁 Altho hazards, status, multi-hit moves, and Mold Breaker must be kept in consideration 'XD

Hitmonlee’s design inspiration goes a lot deeper than “Bruce Lee” In fact, only his English name references Lee. Hitmonlee is actually partially based on the Xingtian and the Hindu demon Kabandha, which both lack distinct heads(which is why Hitmonlee is built like that) And his Japanese name, Sawamular, is in reference to Japanese kickboxer, Tadashi Sawamura.

Lugia can also be based on Ryūjin, a dragon who lives on the ocean floor and was the Shinto god of the sea. Lugia also resembles a wyvern due to having a single set of forelimbs that serve as wings.

According to Bulbapedia, Charizard happens to be inspired by European dragons despite not being part Dragon-type in its base form. The Muk line may also be inspired by Hedorah, a kaiju from the Godzilla franchise. Also, Jynx is based on the Yama-uba which comes from Japanese mythology. I am completely against the controversy involving Jynx's original design. The Pokemon isn't meant to resemble blackface so I deemed the controversy a complete liar.

Thanks for the additions! The Jynx part was talking about the inspiration (not the controversy, I Even forgot about it while recording). Is just that Wikipedia translated "Ganguro" (the word especifically listed as a reference to Jynx) as Blackface, which I found weird but unique, that's why is in the video. Also, I will not acknowledge that nonsense of Charizard being a dragon 🥸

The Wailord also has an inspiration from a blimp. Its extremely light (for its size) weight suggests that it should actually float not just in water but also in air. I like to think of Milotic also being inspired by the Lungfish (specifically the marbled lungfish, which is a long, serpentine fish), one of two types of lobe-finned fish, the other being the Coelecanth (also the inspiration of Relicanth). This concept for Milotic plays off the idea that lobe-finned fish are far more rare than ray-finned fish, just like Feebas and Milotic are far more rare than Magikarp and Gyarados.

Damn, that actually makes a lot of sense. I also felt that wailord was too obvious to be true. In the case of milotic, I found 3 inspirations, so I thought that dhe didn't had more. Sure! In random battles, each Pokémon has a different lvl to balance the game. In a regular match, if you have a bad Pokémon, U will most likely lose, but if the Pokémon has 20 lvls of advantage, a matchup is much more fair

the 33% boost to koraidon and miraidon gives them effectively 197 attacking stats, not 180. because the EVs and IVs are also boosted, a 180 stat doesn't actually reach the real number.
