Love that old truck. Brings back lots of memories from my childhood plowing snow with my dad in squarebodies like this. 😊

Incredible. Had a Chris with twin 427's (1971). They demanded attention yet were amazing. Have fun!

The key was wired in correctly. Your ballast resistor is bad. Be careful calling ppl names when you don't know the ignition system.

Thats typical for chevys. They all do this. Crazy its even lasted that long. I cant remember the last time I saw this body style driving around in mn/nd. Even the next generation frames are garbage too. I dont see any pre 07 chevys around here anymore...all in the junkyard from rusting out

Good score guys. As said below Chriscraft are a big deal. Everything chrome on the boat is worth a ton. If your forgoing restoration, you could do a little research find collectors who will buy every damn piece from you for their project, from the props to the spotlight. do research guys and you will have agem on on your hands

Oh man I grew up on this identical boat and have only fond memories... traversing the Welland canal, running across Lake Ontario to Toronto and back, water skiing... these old Chris Craft Roamers are classy like Sinatra and you have a nice basically stock example. Keep her in the water! Repairing decking is childs play compared to rebuilding an engine. Nicely done up, these yachts sell for 50-G easily!

That boat has an aluminum hull, the only rot is cosmetic easy to fix don't strip it. It is a rare boat.
@mebgone24Ай бұрын
Just pull the engines out and have them rebuilt
@markcrockford9679Ай бұрын
Maybe you should put the gearbox in neutral to start it up Bro ! It might turn over better ! That's a beautiful old boat ! Has it got much rot ?
@jimmygrant3212Ай бұрын
Chris Craft did use 427FE blocks, however they are not side oilers like a lot of people believe. However being lower output engines built for torque they used the 390FE small valve heads and intakes, but they did use solid lifters with adjustable rocker arms. So if you’re building an engine to make power all that’s useful is the short block and rocker assemblies.
