U have clearly never had a board come shooting back at u the way u let go of that board to go behind the blade and pull it the rest the way thru. U will and it isn’t fun.

What size bit do you use for the stars, typically i use a 90 V Bit , but for larger flags. I was thinking a 60 V Bit?

The only thing I would change is the mounting of the flag on the wall. If the battery dies you can't get in it. Mount it so you can get to the back so you can get in. By removing the screws on the back. Awesome build !!!

Never use rfid, it's just a bullshit add-on. Yes it is more secure, but are you really going to have the time to fumble around for a card to unlock it when someone is in your home and seconds count? It totally defeats the purpose of getting to your hidden weapon quickly so that you can respond to the threat appropriately.

To cut out that tedious process of erasing lines in Sketchup you can rather create a rectangle (larger than the 3D object itself) and place it at the midpoint of the 3D object. Select both the rectangle and the 3D object, right click and select 'Intersect Faces > With Selection'. This will essentially create a section of the 3D object onto the rectangle. Will take you 30 seconds👍
