As for the watermaker, we are super happy, it works like a dream and means our whole sailing experience was changed once we installed it. We have had no issues with it so far and when we need to troubleshoot anything Schenker Staff are a great help over the phone and very responsive. We would highly recommend and buy another if we were ever to move to a different boat. The boat is now in France and returning to Ireland for a while, before we begin another adventure (probably crossing to the Carrib in 2025). Hope your having a nice time in Greece!

She is 34ft or 10.5m, touch of 8kts is the fastest we have had, unless surfing down a wave that is 🤣 and the engine is 36hp

@@anauticalchange absolutely fantastic, we've had Wavedancer since 2007 sailing with my husband and 3 boys for 10 summers until they were old enough to fend for themselves ( eldest had started college). Classic beautiful yachts

My husband John & I sail minus the lads since 2017, we miss them but sailing is our passion not theirs

We have a soft spot for Cork John used to be in the Slua, that's where sailing bug bit him & I learned to sail with Glenanns as a teenager in Bere island

Hi, No problem, we are glad you enjoyed watching the video. Yes, once you press the on/off button you can either turn it on and it will run until you press off again or you can press and hold and select 1hr, 2hr, 3hr running with a sequence of beeps and then the unit will flush automatically with fresh water after the selected running cycle. No completely fair question Simon, we will go into this in more detail in our next video on the watermaker, but the main reason is its patented technology that allows us to run the water maker on only 110w per hour. This means our 250w of solar is more than enough, we have no need for a generator or too even run our engine like many other cruisers we know when anchored for low periods of time. Hope that answers your question
