We have the same engine! Took a while to get ours running but is much better now!

@@anauticalchange now that mine runs its great! Perhaps i may ask if your diesel bypass/excess fuel is sent back to the tank or T'd back into the supply line after the first filter/'water trap'? I found low engine power having both on-engin and pre-filter...

@@Not2Faraway mine feeds back into the top of the tank, which is why when I turned the fuel off, fuel was still syphoning down through the system...

Originally ours had the same engine so it was a straight swap and I didnt need to change anything thankfully

Hi Robbie, Thanks we are glad your enjoyed the video! We actually went direct to the supplier and were able to get a special covid price, but I believe they retail for around 10-12k

It might be for excess fuel not used to be redirected back into tank

What is the boat length and speed? And how many horsepower does the engine have?

She is 34ft or 10.5m, touch of 8kts is the fastest we have had, unless surfing down a wave that is 🤣 and the engine is 36hp

How much did the new engine cost and why didn't you repair the old one but bought a new one?

At a certain age, there is a lot of parts which come to either replacement or the refurbishment stage and when you add all those together sometimes it just makes sense to buy a new one. Plus if we ever sell our boat we will be selling her with a new engine instead of a very aged one, always a plus.
