There's such a charming awkwardness to dick cavett that really allows the guests take center stage. He doesn't dominate the interview and gives a lot of power and space for the guests to speak freely. I feel like that's somewhat lost nowadays.

Many people remember Cavett, who is still living, by the way. He would get guests you rarely or never saw on any other interview show, such as these two.

He's actually a very interesting person on his own. I heard an interview given *of* him (not *by* him!) and he came off great! I was really drawn in to what he had to say. He came off very intelligent and gracious. As an interviewer though he's really painful to watch. I can see why artists would want to be interviewed by him as he's not sensational at all, but I just don't find his interviews very engaging. Sometimes his reactions seem to come out of left field, as if he's not listening or wants to steer the conversation elsewhere. In any case, I don't really find him to be a great interviewer at all!

Dick Cavett does not understand Italian humor, makes Marcello Mastroianni look bad. He had no idea how big he was, how much class he had. He gives him a book for tourists

This Dick Cavett was and perhaps still is a real dick! Interesting to see how untalented individuals can climb so high in society, appear interesting and even host a show. On the contrary, Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni kept elegance and modesty despite the tasteless questions they had to face.

God, I can't believe he said "I read somewhere that the Italians are a stupid people." God, what an idiot. And then he asked Sophia WHY she was in bed rest while pregnant and she shared that it was completely needed because she had had two previous miscarriages. The look on her face when he asked that question said it all. The questions were WAAY too personal. What an idiot.

ну а теперь правда: наблюдая за тем как упорно и с азартом столишная проститутская богема и прочая челядь - а это тысячи человек- вели и ведут стадо на забой и в стойло, я полностью отрицаю способность каких-либо изменений изнутри - разве что только в регионах, но любые протесты будут уничтожены - потому что это не "протесты" в хабаровске, шиесе, башкирии и прочая жвачка для пропаганды.... пропаганда тотальная, не дающая опомниться, работает денно и нощно, разводка за разводкой - спойлеры участвуют в "выборах" как богданов, медведев, хакамада, прохоров, грудинин, собчак... параллельно впаривали и впаривают такие заготовки как тесак, навальный, удальцов, яшин, фургал, шаман и прочий бред нон-стоп для чумазой публики - у каждого своя функция в разводке, некоторые уже отработаны и убиты... и ничего не меняется благодаря внешним связям - без сговора с демпартийной мафией сша не было светила оппозиции типа навального и его успешного успеха как не было бы успехов самого путина - сдача путину почти всех окраин бывшего ссср - полностью заслуга сша ... не было бы и антитрампианы - в которой лубянка участвует оч активно и не было бы даже ковида - потому что ясно что ковид нужен был для фальсификации выборов в 20 г в сша и побочные цели ковидианы всех вполне устроили - и бабки заработали, и миллионы иждивенцев убили... но главное - это конечно же шоу навальнониана- без него ничего бы не получилось, идти голосовать на "умных голосованиях" после полученных на ручных же протестах люлей - что может быть проще? навальный и в 2011 и в 2021 обеспечил и едру и путину 20 лет власти - тем самым обеспечивает спокойствие в тылу и возможность делать со стадом что угодно... а вся т.н интеллигенция это всё понимает и молчит - где те ясины, ходорковские, макаревичи и прочие товарищи? а они на службе. именно поэтому москву не бомбят в ответ на удары по киеву, а деток москвичей не гонят на убой... именно поэтому ютьюб и безумную пропаганду лубянки на нём никто не блокирует - ни в рф, и на ютьюбе не блокируют каналы лубянской пропаганды...... п.с. и не верьте в смерть навального - этот каннибал и пособник чекистов не мог быть убит в тюрьме - потому что немцова убили показательно и выставили на обозрение как трофей сразу же и мы все видели его труп как и прочие трупы других реальных жертв режима, вы их знаете... и никогда не было такого шоу с поисками тела, вбросов с семейным подрядом навальных и такого международного шоу - все вы его видели. таким шоу было только "отравление" навального, которое могло начаться только после того как общими усилиями убрали трампа с поста и украли у него победу в 20 г....
