i think the problem is BR, 80% of the people i know don't play it but BR has gotten so much more attention than pve and seas since its release. the only big pve world update we got was dressrosa. meanwhile Br i think by this point has had 4 new maps!?!?!? think about it. if instead of making 4 more huge BR maps we could have gotten 4 more huge islands with pve content instead. the most recent islands we have been getting are tiny with 1 thing to do on them and that's it. or just updating old islands I think they got to let BR die at least for a bit and focus on other parts of the game. 80% of the overall players who play don't play BR cause its too sweaty and some don't enjoy pvp to that extent. seas are missing so many quality of life updates thing like a Challenge system you can challenge someone to a 1 v 1 and be immune to all outside damage sources (other than npc) and if you get knocked out you cant be gripped. things like that that can add just a little bit more to the game. id love more multi stage bosses like donmingo and law. something i don't understand either is that the max level has like never gone up compared to other games. everyone and their grandma is max level running around doing who knows what. at that point the game is get new weapon fight with weapon. get new fruit fight with new fruit, rinse and repeat it gets boring. I love this game I've played it for a long time now and even though i haven't agreed with some of the newer changes and stuff, its sad to see the game in this state. overall i think they need to step back from Br and focus on the rest of the game. like fr Br got a train now and do you see anything like that in seas at all? i would love to be able to hitch a ride on some sea creature to another island sometime or even have passenger boat you can travel on in seas, things like that would make the game feel that much more alive. anyways if you reading this you wasted a lot of time on my yappin here, you should get up and get a drink and stay hydrated.

The big problem with gpo is that it is 0% friendly to new players. They must have already thought about putting in a smaller scale impel down before the damn level 325. Anyway, a buff to the impel down rewards is too important.

Time limited items that have an actual utility use (CC, FL, WEnder, TBG, etc) is what kills most enjoyment of this game for me. It's such an insane concept that you don't see a lot of other games copying it. It's weaponized FOMO at its finest.

Tbh one major thing i miss was the game not being so hand holdy. Fruits were pretty hard to farm and made getting them worth while. Chat was proxy bc there was no box, the phone snail made sense to get bc u wouldnt be able to contact someone from across the map unless u had it. The leveling guide was a major thing for me bc it felt more fun to just go around the world to explore and find out where ur able to grind and if u were in an area that was too high lvl ud get ur ass kicked but uk it was part of the experience. The pvp toggle is pretty dumb bc ik ppl would bully low levels but uk itd be a way to kinda jst show u wat u can be and kinda motivate you to continue farming, or uk server hop. You werent shown where to get haki or anything unless u had someone or a video guide u to it. It was like how deepwoken is. No guide just play and learn. I miss having that aspect a part of gpo.

I would say there will always be at least 1k players since at least 1k players are hella rich and practically slaves to the game because their “value” “friends” or “PvP”. GPO needs more incentives to play the game, and not because “I need more value”, it should be because “I want more fun” there’s nothing like the feeling of a pre- GPO update and pho drops the patch notes mins before the update

1:05 The Candy cane was actually out for much longer than promised, it was said to be obtainable for only 3 days but he left it in the game till New years, which gave everyone an extra week to farm it. There were many auto farmers and also cheese methods for santa farming resulting in a overfarm of cc (more than 20 entered the game per day) The duping incident that happened after new years which resulted in all expensive items getting duped and trading shutdown. This lead to CC's downfall, though it was said that the dupes were removed there still is alot more cc in GPO's economy, with more than 4+ each trading server.

The content that gets added everytime just leads to another grind for a 1% drop, got no time for that

1. The game is too greedy (Pho is hungry for more money, his patreon is not enough) 2. Impel down endgame is too tedious and forces you to use the cheesy strategy (they should nerf it to make it more fun) 3. Boring contents (especially the new events) 4. The game is not a newbie friendly in the beginning of the game (I've watched every new players in first sea and they are struggling a lot) 5. Lack of avatar roleplays (only uses the base game avatars) 6. too much gambles (seriously, why?)

Nice video... there is a lot to be talked about... I think that the big problem with the fruits are that they are balanced both for PVP and PVE, that makes some fruits being useless on PVP or PVE. Thats why u get the feeling of the game being repeatedly, you cant just roleplay and use Hie-Hie or Ito-Ito on the second sea bc it takes too much time to deal damage. IMO fruits should be balanced one way for PVP and other one for PVE. This would make ppl use other fruits just for the fun of it

I also think a lot of it has to do with the serious amount of grinding you do and a lot of the highest value Items being gate kept and also the best items being unobtainable. You have to take away your entire inventory for 💀
