I had a GepRC naked GoPro 11 that would power on just fine, but one day randomly refused to start recording no matter what I tried. I was unable to reinstall gopro labs firmware because it was stuck in a reboot loop. Finally I installed the original gopro firmware manually and it worked, but then I landed where you were with official firmware. This tutorial is exactly what I needed, and worked perfectly. Cheers!

Ur running 6s on a 2000kv. That’s a super trust
@TanFKАй бұрын
The weight of this thing carrying the geprc naked gopro is quite heavy, so it needs the power. When stator size and drone category and prop is smaller youll need higher KVs, I.e 2.5 inch cinewhoops go with 1404 3800kv (4s) Vs 5 inch freestyle 2207 2400kv (4s)

Sounds ok, Im running one quad with that parts, Just gotta have 50+amp esc to accomodate voltage spikes and crashes. It was too fast for me so i ran a throttle limit about 85% get it to feel like 1750kv
@Xcx284Ай бұрын
@@TanFK I see. Well I was also looking at a 50A speedy F7 V3 stack. But the 60A f405 V4 seems tempting also. So that’s why I’m kinda stuck within these choices. Which stack and motors to use. The 1700kv motors is also in option.
@TanFKАй бұрын
The speedybee v3 50amp should be enough bro. Id rather buy two speedybee v3s so i can swap them when one breaks. Cuz voltage spike when crashing would even kill a 60a esc if the crash is hard enough 🤣

fun fact it's actually impossible to bring any battery down to zero volts as volts is just the difference in potential, and the chemicals will always have some potential between them.

thats true, i always see one or two cells that stay at 1.xx volts. While the others might be low but not zero

Great video! Something else to be aware of, the contaminants left from water can cause corrosion to start but not cause issues right away and can kill a component randomly several months later even though it was working fine after the plung and drying, this is actually why you want to use the IPA to actually clean the electronics, removing camera housing and all that, don't just thoroughly dry everything, hope fir the best, then try flying it... It might seem fine, but could suddenly drop out of the sky 6 months later on someone hurting them... I had one that spent months in a tree before a storm finally knocked it out, everything worked fine for months, then it finally died mid flight, upon inspection corrosion slowly built up under the components, just took time for a problem to develop, washing down with IPA seems to help that, i also use vip camp dry occasionally on my electronics, the silicone coating helps replel any rain drops i might fly though and its easy to just give everything a spritz occasionally the night before flying
@TanFK2 ай бұрын
thanks for sharing. I've experienced similarly with some electronics being fine momentarily. I'm curious to know more about cip camp dry, whats you're experience been like? like does the solution harden and have to be cleaned occasionally and all that?

There is no point in destroying the battery if it wasn't overly discharged while underwater. They are a sealed which makes them pretty much waterproof.

Nice video mate. I’ve also been struggling with all the jitters from my cinelog25 whenever I add my naked gopro on it. I think that I am not being able to get my gravity center correctly, as battery can’t be pushed back to balance with the gopro. And I believe it affects my pid looping forcing my fc to be always making lil adjustments while Im flying. Causing then these micro bumps that I don’t have on other quads. But I can’t tell for sure 😢
