DJ, it was a pleasure to meet you at Love Dorsey Live event in Atlanta. As a white woman with biracial children it’s really sad to hear you say that only black women matter. This country is comprised of multiple races and cultures. Women specifically had no sorts of rights for years, any races. I have many nieces, nephews, God children, my friends children that I mentor that are “black” that I have a lot of influence over bc of the role I play in their life. That is such a closed minded statement for you as a leader to make. Even if your focus is on your race and culture to specifically say no one else matters when our world is compromised of so may others that we all have to interact in daily life seems absurd. There is always talk about ending racism, prejudice, inequality but as a white woman I often feel racism directed towards me and it’s sad. I’d love to heard you have a conversation on your view point surrounding black women being the only women that matter.
@myhunny2006Ай бұрын
I don't think he meant to exclude other races of women but to stick with the topic which was geared towards black women since they are the ones displaying these behaviors that set us back as a community.

27:09 this makes so much sense and explains why its so challenging for me as a black man in my 20s to just talk to black women my age on any college campus
@michaelsevillerealestate977Ай бұрын
25:13 bingo… most women don’t care across all races and genders… unfortunately in the black community it’s magnified just because of all the aforementioned points(and more… it’s complicated).

The sad thing is this video has been up for 2 days and only has 320 views. Only 46 likes 😢. This tells me that we don't even care. I ❤️ Luv Mrs Dorsey for the courage, knowledge and passion she brings to this topic. Please continue your work sis. U R A GREAT COMMUNICATOR. BLESSINGS ❤❤❤❤

Well, that sista Dorsey does hava ponit man (when it comes to these modern wmn out here). That's what we men are tryna tell these sistas out here & yet, most of them still don't wanna litsen. Which shows why none of them aren't worthy of having a good man to be wit & their actions has kept on proven 24/7. Along wit being so far apart wit each other, as a cultural society. Especially, in movies & TVs (like, tha 1's I see vua Tubi app lately) SMDH. Which is 1 of tha reasosn why most men are no longer decided to get married anymore. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤷🏾♂️🤔💯💯💯💯💣💣💣💣💣😔😔😔😔😔😔🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🤦🏾♂️👍🏾👍🏾💔💔💔💔💔💔🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♂️

@@ICANTLOOKAWAYnot only that it’s ok when “we the black community say it in the privacy “ but when it’s said on a platform for everyone to see it’s a problem. I’m not saying it’s ok at all. It’s “normal “ when i checked my gma when i was younger she popped me in my mouth and said well if you ain’t one then who are you and i stated my name and now i was labeled as a “smartass”. Every generation is different

Great conversation. I really have a hard time understanding why when women learn that a man has a woman or is dealing with someone else that they don’t walk away instead of causing the other woman heart. Like why cause someone else pain when your person is still out there
