The temperature ratings on this bag is awful. Read the reviews on their on website to back up. I bought the -6c. The temp dropped to around +1c and I was bloody cold. For the money I paid and to have it imported to the UK, I am seriously pissed off. Until you’ve used it on the trail you don’t know how it will hold up, which it DID NOT, and then obviously you can not return it. All the hype around these bags - what a let down!!!

My EE Quilts have been fantastic temp-wise and have held up great. Did you order stock or custom. I know their stock supplies are made in China while custom orders are made in house. As for the bad reviews, I’ve gone all through their reviews and there aren’t many bad ones, the ones that I saw that were was from before they started adding an extra 30% down to their bags a few years ago. Also, you have to have a really warm pad for those temps, 5R and above would be best.

Do you sleep on your stomach at all in this? Do your toes drag the quilt down too far down from your neck and shoulders then? I'm the same exact height as you (5'4"/164cm) and looking at either the Revelation or Enigma. Just like you, my height qualifies me for a short quilt, but since I'm a stomach sleeper I'm supposed to add 4-5"/10-12cm and go with a regular. However, I've had so much trouble in the past finding sleeping bags for my petite height and have far too often slept in too long sleeping bags that are hard for my feet to warm up and I sometimes have to cinch them off with a band or shoe lace or something. So I'm a little worried about going regular, in case that means that when the neck is cinched perfectly - my feet won't reach far enough down in the footbox to heat it up properly. And if the feet are perfect in the footbox, I'm afraid the neck drawcord will go over my head and it'll a) be hard to cinch it down properly around the neck to keep drafts out or b) it'll create a lot of bulk around the neck/upper body area.. What are your experiences with the short and possible stomach sleeping? I really don't wanna have to compromise by picking a longer length and then struggling with the footbox by stuffing it with clothes or tying it off.. If I'm spending a lot of money on custom made, I want it to fit as perfectly as possible :)

Hi there, Thank you so much for posting your review...Very valuable information all-round! I am planning on buying the Rev-Hole-ation by Enlightened but am unsure of temperature choice and length. I will probably go with the 0'F model, as I live in Western New York state and like to sleep outside as much as possible, including winter. As for length, I am stuck between Regular (78") and Long (84"). I am 6'1/2" and like the quilt to cover my head. Question: How much does the length shorten when one closes the foot box? How much does the length shorten when one cinches the head opening at the top? Any suggestions? It sounds like you are visiting some very interesting locales...Enjoy...Cheers and happy travels!

Great review. Seems like lots of trouble to go through just to not have a sleeping bag. I believe the Quilt system is a great idea for three seasons. Get yourself a sweet bag and be comfortable, in those conditions anyway. By the time you tie the whole thing up, you may as well have a bag. Killer tip at the end. Cheers to your awesomeness...

It depends on other backpacks you plan on doing. I have a revelation 850 10deg quilt. I use it for 4 seasons. No need to buy or own many quilts. If it’s warm, use it as a blanket and stick a limb or two out. If it’s cold, sinch it up (with a good rvalue pad, warm clothes) and you’ll be Golden.

@@jujua3944 Merci pour votre réponse. Au moins vous l'avez reçu mais c'est vrai que les délais de fabrication + livraison sont longs. For those women who sleep cold - That 3.9R Neo Air will not be sufficient down to 20 degrees, in particular, for women who sleep cold. The Xtherm would be much better. The 3.9 rating realistically is good to about 30-35 degrees. If you get a 20 degree bag, and then want a pad that will get you down to 20 as well, than the Xtherm is much better. It is rated down to about 5 degrees. I have 30 years backpacking experience, and nearly every woman I have backpacked with, who got cold, blamed the bag or quilt. But after switching pads with them, and letting them try my Xtherm for a night, they said they slept toasty warm. The pad is just as important, if not more important, than the bag/quilt.

Outdoor Vitals is way , way cheaper but do not have some of the options as enlightened. But over all , ya get what ya pay for. Are you familiar with outdoor vitals and what's your view point ? Thank you ✌ Wow , great after thought tip. Love it , I never knew I was creating a hole by pulling the feather out 🙄
