I heard Jörg Demus in Buenos Aires playing all of Franz Schubert's solo piano compositions in 4 concerts. It was wonderful. He was also, along with Gerald Moore, the pianist who most accompanied the glorious Dietrich Fischer Dieskau.

If elected President on my write-in campaign to earn that crappy job, my first act will be to sign an executive order prohibiting ads in the middle of Beethoven videos. No one else can see that this a needed step in the renewal of our fair land!

Magnifique.

Those who love improvisation should love the Bourree as performed here. I believe Bach himself would have warmly approved. . Purists beware!

I rarely declare a particular performance to be my favorite one of a particular work, but here I make an exception. The ornamentation in particular is thrilling. Hoomeyow!!

Certainly Schnabel's dictum, "Safety last " in Demus' rendition of the last movement 😅! Pollini pales in comparison....( heard him in Amsterdam..) Another great performance y e a r s ago.......Leonard Shure.....😊

Monsieur , vous êtes à mes yeux le meilleur pianiste pour cette oeuvre. Votre subtilité me rend admiratif. Alors que tous auraient foncé dans le crescendo , vous intimisez la fougue , c'est une idée de génie. Bravo et milles mercis!

Clidat does a very good Mazeppa, Berman does a very good 2nd etude, and Cziffra does a bloody good job of all of them !

She plays Mazeppa almost as well as Cziffra ! That's the highest compliment I can pay her.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Algerich?!? synchretic technique inferior because is not the sacred gem. Clidat? This is the Sacred Gem Technique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She plays it with real demonic energy--unsettelling. This has become my favorite of all I've heard, including horowitz and Kapell. Her bravura surpasses just about everyone!

One of the best recordings of the Rachmaninov 1 but the picture is misleading. It is certainly not Entremont at 26 or 27 .

This is what he almost owns musically. I have him doing these in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's and he is so superb. He has all the technique to burn but always just barely under control to thrill us in being on the edge. Beyond the chops, he makes these pieces beautiful, and musical. He communicates these musical ideas so well to the listener. A true master.

Cziffra and Clidat play Liszt the best - Idk how pianists such as Kissin totally overshadow such talent - Clidat should be as recognized as Rubinstein.
