Yes, that’s normal. They did that for wog1 too. If you scroll down a bit you can see a comment explaining what all the scrapped levels were and why they were scrapped

@@BusAlexey i've listened to a lot of bad AI voices and generated bad AI voices myself, the voices in WoG2 sound exactly like bad AI and nothing like amateur voiceacting. they have the weird inflections, the plowing through punctuation mixed with inexplicable mid-sentence pauses, the inconsistent pronunciation, the super artificial-sounding laugh, the extremely monotone delivery... i feel very confident in saying it's AI

@@9600baudsyes but it still translates to English and isn’t a thing in-universe and AI voices make sense for wog17 since it’s Turing Complete. And if you’re so annoyed by the sound of AI voices that you can’t survive a single cutscene of them you can just mute the game and still keep up with the lore through the subtitles

For those who may wonder, here's a list with all the levels shown here and what we know about them: 0:22 "A familiar divide", but with the props removed for showcase 0:26 Placeholder level, just for showcase 0:38 "Juicer", doesn't seem much changed from the final version 0:41 We actually do not know anything about this level, what is shown here is the only thing we know about it 0:43 Also placeholder level for showcase purposes 0:44 Very early version of Transmission Lines 0:49 Scrapped level called "Chain reaction". We don't know why it was scrapped or where it would be. 0:52 "Chain Head", similar to "Juicer" doesn't seem to be changed at all from the final version 0:54 Early version of "Ode to the Conduit Connector" 0:59 Also "Chain Reaction" 1:03 Another placeholder level for showcase 1:11 "Pachinkgoo", doesn't seem changed from the final version 1:13 A scrapped level from Chapter 3 that would contain a goo species called "ice goo". Got scrapped because ice goo were quite buggy. The big things falling on the ice goo structure are just boulders, not a species of goo. 1:15 An earlier version of "Launch Breaks", with another appearance. 1:13 Also "Chain reaction" 1:17 A scrapped level called "Spin To Win"; what we know about it is that it was meant to be a "labyrinth level" and that the "Red Carpet" part of "Rejuvenation, Revitalization, Reincorporation, Rebirth" would play here. You were supposed to get the balls out of the labyrinth block using liquid to rotate it around, within a time limit, after which everything would explode. It was named after an old game Kyle Gray made. The level was scrapped because the devs found it unfun and also didn't work properly. It was replaced by a "Tower of Goo" remake level (which can be seen in the final cutscene) which was then replaced by the "Super Tower of Goo" level 1:18 Early version of "Dish connected" 1:23 "Squiddy's Bog", pretty similar to the final version 1:24 "Soggy Bottom", also pretty similar to the final version 1:26 This one is *not* an older version of "Angler" as it may first seem. Rather, it's supposed to be a level from World of Goo 5. World of Goo 5 was supposed to be all about trying to get liquid goo flow into the pipe at a certain rate (you can kinda see on the bottom left the label saying "[illegible] per minute"). It was scrapped because it wasn't working properly.

I just happened to be looking through my app library and saw the icon had changed to a chimney and Christmas lights and thought “have they finally updated it?” And sure enough I opened up the app and it showed the little accolade on the title screen. I’m like holy crap they did!

No world of goo 2 for PS5? My heart is bleeding. Also I would love a little inferno 2. I played it about 10 times, always in winter. Goo 1 and little inferno are undervalued indie gems.

We have a Little Inferno DLC with a new story, though it takes place in an alternate timeline of Little Inferno rather than a follow up. (Though it does develop some things we didn’t know about the regular Little Inferno timeline) However it def is worth it imo and is the closest thing to a sequel and is very fun.

Coming back here right after I completed every single OCD in the game... what an incredible journey and outstanding game. I loved the first World of Goo so much, and this game definitely made me love the franchise even more. Thank you, Kyle and Team for such an amazing experience. World of Goo FOREVER!!!

I got some ideas for World Of Goo 3 with Chapter 1 being a forest. Chapter 2 would be a Ye Olde Construction Site. Chapter 3 would be a limousine during winter in the city. Chapter 4 is a junkyard full of computers and Chapter 5 is similar to Chapter 5 of World Of Goo 2 but with more lilypads, 8 in fact.

Nah, he’s moved past that kind of game and wasn’t really enjoying wog1 anyway and his playthrough of the first three chapters wasn’t that good (and he never finished it)
