Oh dear hydrogen fanboy. Battery costs will drop from 100$/kWh to 50$/kWh by the end of the decade, while hydrogen costs remain uncomparably higher. The energy density of Li-Ion Batteries is projected to increasw from 250 Wh/kg to 350 Wh/kg in a few years, while hydrogens energy density will merely increase from 120 Wh/kg to 220 Wh/kg, still miles away from Li-Ion. Li-Ion Batteries have a already nearly 100% efficiency while hydrogen is projected to have an efficiency of 20-40% by the end of the decade. Li-Ion batteries are more than likely to remain outperforming Hydrogen and Hydrogen cars in the future. If you want to pay 3 times the amount to fill up your car with hydrogen (instead of gasoline or Diesel) you can do that, but most likely nobody else will.

@@alib9824 Which end of which decade? Gasoline price has doubled in CA because the governor believes he can do so. EV's sales are plummeting because replacement of the LI-battery costs more than the yearly income of many people. There is only ONE provider of ELECTRICITY, and they are ramping the costs. Lithium is still at short supply, and Musk has stopped building chargers. Happy now?

@@generaclesdey4622 it’s true that gasoline prices have risen in California, this isnt solely due to the governors policies, but also global oil market dynamics. EV sales are still growing, maybe not so much in the US but in the rest of the world for sure. Lithium supply is a challenge, but investments are ramping up to address this (Hydrogen is even more of a challenge btw). Regarding the chargers, how many hydrogen fuel stations are there again in california? Yeah i thought so

There are multple labs and universities working on new methodologies to create Hydrogen from water EFFECTIVELY. The current target is to fill the vehicle's fuel tank with WATER, and extact the H2 as needed. The support money is already there in abundance. I've already explained that there are 145,000 gas stations in the USA to satisfy the 6-minute fill up when needed. There are only 65,000 Charging stations. If EV's become half the traffic on the road, and they require an hour to charge, we will need the equivalent of 1,450,000 charging points (including home systems). The math says that this may take "only" 20+ years to build, with only ONE PROVIDER - the electric company. Local "Edisons" are already ramping the cost of electricity!

@@generaclesdey4622 This technology about H2 extraction from water (efficiently) might take another 30 years to be mainstream. Until then, if you want to use H2 instead of gasoline in current gas stations, very high safety standards need to be met and that costs a lot of money and time.

Toyota has proven that they can develop a cheap small pickup, they just chose not to bring it to the states. moreover, the increased cost in pickups has specifically been driven by federal policy and tax credits, which have led to more luxurious vehicles, as opposed to the utilitarian standard on which the platform was developed and intended
