This is my favorite hymn, among many greats with the Vineyard Haven tune. While often the "new" version is not as good in most cases, this vastly better than the original. It can be played much faster in a smaller church.

How nice to hear this tune written by Richard Dirksen, who was the Organist and Choirmaster at the Washington National Cathedral (Episcopal) for many years.

We would sing this at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church in St. Louis with John Walsh, Choirmaster and Precentor.

I am totally in love with the music of Philip Stopford. He is a gem in the liturgical music world of the Church. As a parish music director, I am incorporating more and more of his music. He brings such dignity and class to the liturgical composition world.
