My first Barbie was actually Malibu PJ, whose face came after the original, more adult (to me) and glamorous Sixties Barbies and the later Superstar Barbie. So I never found the face to be that much different from my initial exposure. However I remember the new bent arms being a dramatic change that I never really liked. I definitely don't like the modern, jointed dolls but they're not made for me. I do remember being entranced by the jewelry just like you though!

The fairy is good for indoors and luckily has no batteries and rechargeable toy

I remember my friend had one of the poosie dolls, and I thought she was pretty, but too big. LOL. Then came Rainbow High as we knew it. I wasn't surprised when the new slime dolls came out. MGA tryna get back to their roots of slime toys. I honestly love the reboot for different reasons than why I loved the originals. Nothing will ever compare to the details and fashions of the original dolls, but I am a crafty creature and a doll that comes with a craft actually has a ton of value to me, and I imagine it's the same for kids...Also, when you look at what you get for the price, the reboot dolls are still a very high quality fashion doll. Better than most on the market at a similar price point. I got Ruby and fixed her glitter face and now I love her!

I got the petite girl with the short hair! I am a small short haired girly so I love to see it! The red-head is gorge...want her! And the black girl with the braids in the barbiecore pink! Obsessed! Need her too! All their faces are so unique and pretty! Love these! Wish they put the guy in pink or purple with the jeans. Would have been a more cohesive collection.
