Last time I was at Fur Peace, at the Tom Rush Show. I saw Jack outside before the show, by my surprise. He was thirty yards away nothing between he and I. Our eyes meet I saluted at attention. He looked at me shakin his head ever so slightly and smiled. One of those cherished moments, like having a “Hot Tuna” melt. The Quarantine Covid shows were heaven sent 48 shows plus or minus, last was outside… I missed the final show of Hot Tuna…at the Ranch I RECALL November 2023, it sold out toute sweet, but there I was in spirit. “Old buddies” Thank you.

I remember Jack having a room in his parent’s basement with a fabulous record collection and owning a matching Fiat to his brother’s. He actually had a talent then that was meant to be acknowledged by the music world. Happy for him!

I used to listen to the Jefferson Airplane a lot and They were my absolute Favourite Band of the early 70s !! Beautiful Melodies and PowerFull at the same time... their Lyrics combined with their Music were a Good mix for me !! My first LP was Long John Silver... foolishly I gave away all my best albums of the Time

A couple of years ago I stopped at the Stone Pony in New Jersey and had a look at who was gonna be playing. The bill was full of tribute bands, and there in their midst was Hot Tuna, the original. I couldn't stay in the area long enough to catch them, which I dearly regret, but that memory still brings a smile to my face. You guys are legends, no doubt about it.

I was lucky enough to be born in and grow up in San Francisco in the late 40s, which made me old enough to participate in and appreciate the music scene of the 60s. I have been playing bass consistently since the late 60s and site Jack Casady as my first influence. I lost count of how many times I have seen him play with the Airplane and its many derivatives. Totally coincidentally, I now play in a guitar and bass duo. Since both of us have back issues, we call ourselves the Broken Back Blues Band, but perhaps a better name might be Cold Lox, as we are both Jewish. Great music from two unbelievable musicians. Inspiring for those of us who are in our 70s and still playing live (I'm 74).
