I think the kawai es120 is overpriced, the Roland fp30x offers more for your money

The action in the ES120 is more advanced than what's in the FP30x, but I'm curious to see how the new ES60 compares to the FP30x and the FP10. The ES60 is marked as $499--fingers crossed it will be available to try this month 🤞

if feel is important, but will 80-90% be used with headphones while practicising, does that suggest a particular model? eg if one is mainly speakers upgrades it might not be as necessary

I have a CA49 that I practice 50% in headphones, and I've been happy with it for the past ~4 years. But if I had a couple grand more, I would've bought the CA701 because I like the action and sound sampling better.

It's a Kawai K-200 ATX4! Yes, I do enjoy it a lot since it has a lot of digital capabilities along with the silent system.

I had 2 ES Series Kawai models. Sold them both. Right in the middle of the 88 keys there were 3 "tinny" sounding keys (piano patches) and editing didn't help. Both models had that issue. Annoying to me so I sold them. Maybe new ones are better.

Both the ES120 and ES110 use Harmonic Imaging for the EX Concert Grand sounds, so I think the sound is similar

I’m wondering how well this interprets/sends midi data. Is it as good as Nord? Of course touch will be better…but I’m talking like dynamics being translated and whatnot. The Nord velvet grand would have to work as good as a Nord grands touch or better for me to justify the high cost of the added ATX4 system
