The sleeper swat Crewe in 1995 had 16coaches too, but an 86 on the front. Still good to see a proper train with a loco and coaches though.

That's some wonderful footage my good sir, an extensive variety of movements & stock on show; another top-class event by all accounts it would seem. Well done, I've liked & subscribed accordingly! A great selection of visiting locos for this year's event too, 2253 'Omaha' was the personal highlight for me; I've waited an age to see that one in steam! The S160 made a great sight & sound tackling Eardington Bank, which was just one of the highlights from my day of filming. If you could check out my own efforts from the gala, this would be greatly appreciated, please don't feel obligated to do so however. Kind regards, Adam 🙂

When you took it from the box you snapped off the plastic brass coloured fitting from the front right side of the smoke box. Is the whistle straight on yours. Lots of shoddy ones have been delivered
@ttlrailways4776 Жыл бұрын
It seems it snapped off between filming the over view and the actual running videos - I never even noticed. Looking at the whistle, they do appear to be slightly bent too.
@paulpilkington1797 Жыл бұрын
I have the same one without sound a brass fitting missing off the front of the RH piston housing the same brass fitting was snapped off as on yours There's glue marks on the chimney base and the whistles are at 30 degrees. Not sure whether to send it back. Pity as I was looking forward to it

Does it run properly in reverse some people saying there is a problem with reverse running maybe worth running in reverse
@ttlrailways4776 Жыл бұрын
@@paulpilkington1797 It's a lovely model by all accounts, however the QC issues are starting to show quite rapidly across all models.

@@andrewmeah3082 No issues with reverse running, however the wheels did get extremely dirty, extremely quickly on my model, even with freshly cleaned track.

One of those buses is going to have to reverse...and the Midland Red wouldn't relent!

Thanks Toby! I used my Canon 5D Mark IV this time round. I'm mainly a stills photographer so the video is just an added bonus.

Why is this bridge so slow? Only 15 mph. Is there any upgrade planning?
@ttlrailways4776 Жыл бұрын
There are extremely tight bends on each side of the bridge, both this side at Saltash, and on the Plymouth side. Saltash itself is built on a tight bend.

They looked stunning working together. Nice not to have a class 47 at the rear of the train.

That train was certainly worth turning out to see. I went to Oxford and Banbury for the return trip and was rewarded with a high speed run through Oxford as they were making up for time lost at an earlier PW. slack. That footage, plus the footage from Didcot Railway Centre is on my Channel if you'd like to have a look.
